a very unpleasant experience not to be repeated
This was our first use of our newly acquired motorhome.
The first problem we had difficulty finding the hard standing and got stuck in mud.
Mr Tims and Son helped tow us off the mud.
Mrs Tims then arrived with a look on her face that resembled the Wicked Witch of the North about to cast a death spell on us. Mrs Tims was annoyed that her husband had helped us and told us we should have called the AA. Mrs Tims also then asked for compensation for the damage to their "grass" in pulling us off the mud. Mrs Tims then said we were welcome to leave immediately.
I was ready to leave immediately but my wife spoke to Mrs Tims for a while and paid for one night.
Mr and Mrs Tim then proceeded to inspect the "damage" to their muddy patch of threadbare grass and peer at us with venomous looks. Mrs Tims explained the whole look of the area was "spoiled". Mrs Tims appeared to drop any further requests for damage to the patch of mud.
There is constant heavy traffic noise from a nearby road. This noise was still present late at night and early morning and was audible inside the motorhome.
There are plenty of much friendlier and quieter sites in the area.
