My family and I had a great 5 night stay at Beckthwaite, the scenery was breathtaking. If this cl was on the edge of most towns then it perhaps would not of been anything special but it is all about the location. The pitches are quite small but they are level and did the job fine. The facilities were basic but clean enough and having 2 toilets is always handy. There is paid for showers but we did not need to use them. The gentleman that owns the cl is a friendly helpful man as was everyone else we met. Just one word of caution for the people who have not yet been to Coniston - the roads in and out are awfully narrow and extra caution is required when towing.
