We were originally booked to head down to Cornwall but cancelled that due to hearing of the mass of holiday makers heading that way. After a bit of searching we found a vacancy on this CL which turned out to be an absolute God send! We arrived to see our name against the designated pitch on the arrivals board and we duly got set up. This was our first time out in the caravan with our new 6 month old puppy so having pitch number one proved to be a bonus for her to stretch her legs (on a tether of course). Anyway the CL proved to be an ideal place to chill out away from the crowds and it was such a relief to be there after the lock down. There is ample space for everyone to spread out and the view across the fields was lovely. The site was very well kept with short cut grass although the clippings are not collected. This wasn't an issue due to the dry weather but may prove otherwise in wet conditions. Hand sanitiser was put in place at the entry gates, water points and waste point which was a nice touch. The only slight negative was the access road which ran along the edge of the site can be busy with skip lorries using it to access the large waste site, but after a day or so it didn't really bother us but please bear it in mind. The access into the drive off the "B" road can also be a bit tricky if encountering one of the skip lorries coming in the opposite direction! Other than that I cant fault the site or facilities. Although I'm not keen on Bridlington itself the Flamborough headland is beautiful but can be busy as were the roads that access the headland. Bridlington itself can be very, very busy with traffic passing through. We found that Fraisthorpe beach was ideal for letting our puppy experience the seaside for the first time and visited it on a few occasions. All in all a very pleasant weeks stay which recharged our batteries and was so welcome during these challenging times.
