Peaceful Views over Devon

We spent five nights here in good weather after a very wet spell. It is a very well cared for CL with fabulous views to the west over the Culm Valley to Dartmoor and Exmoor in the distance, together with some lovely sunsets. There are five hard-standings together with a grassed area. As others have noted, it is very quiet and peaceful. It should be accessed via Broadhembury (the direct lane to the A373 has a sharp and blind access to the main road). The approach lane from the village is narrow in places, but there is reasonable visibility. The Blackdown Hills is an attractive AONB, which is less visited than it warrants. There is a good short circular walk a few minutes drive away in the woods on Witness Moor on top of the hill behind the site. Dogs can also be exercised in whichever neighbouring field is not being used by the cattle. A lovely CL, which we hope and expect to visit again. Paul and Maggie (plus Stella the dog)
