Lovely peaceful site

We stayed last week and what a lovely site, super friendly greeting, great walks and fantastic views. Deer walking across the fields. We stayed on hard standing due to the weather. We will definitely return later in the year when it’s less wet. We walked down to Goring for some lunch. The Thames River was flooded so couldn’t walk along the footpath. The drive to campsite was quite tight but we didn’t meet any oncoming traffic. Would also highly recommend a visit to the Bell Inn, yummy rolls and great beer.

Lovely quiet site

Lovely site access on the way up was a little tight in places but well worth it for the hoot of the owls and the deer in the huge field in the morning

Fantastic site

This is a brilliant CL - Complete peace and quiet and fantastic scenery. The site is ideally suited to visit Basildon Park, Goring on Thames and the rest of Berkshire and South Oxordshire. The site is easy to locate if you follow the directions. The lanes are narrow and steep in places, but we never encountered vehicles coming in the opposite directon. The owner is a lovely chap who is very welcoming. We'll be adding this site to our list of favourites.

Just awesome

What a spectacular place 😊. This site is totally fabulous, one of the cleanest, most well kept farms I had ever seen, everything is spotless, it's a real credit to Andrew and Mr Webber. There is water, elsan (spotless), rubbish and recycling. The views are stunning and the wildlife is fabulous. Red kites abound and bunnies hop around in the evening. Walking from the site is great too. Easy to access Streatly and Goring on foot, through some wonderful woodland. Access to the Thames path once in Streatly. The only noise other than the birds is air traffic from Heathrow. This did not bother us one bit, in fact it was quite fascinating. £10pn is a fair price and we will definitely return again and again for the tranquility and warm welcome by Mr Webber and his little dog. You will need ramps and the approach road is very narrow. Our Motorhome is 6.3 m by 2.7m and the mirrors we're touching the hedges in some places. The hedges are well trimmed and if you just take your time you'll be fine. Visited, mid April. Can't really praise this site highly enough.

Basic yet perfect !

We only stayed one night after meeting family at Basildon Park, which is just a few miles away but would have happily stayed for a week. Beautiful scenery, peaceful and plenty of entertainment from the red kites, pheasants and other wildlife. We were privileged to have the CL site all to ourselves but it is spacious enough for 5 vans without feeling crowded. The only downside is the very narrow long approach lane which would be very difficult for large motorhomes or caravans. We received a warm welcome from the charming gentleman who owns the site. Perfect if you don't mind using your own facilities and power.

Charming Location

This CL is precisely why you are a member of the CandMC. Exclusive access to some fabulous locations in the UK and Bennets Farm is a great example. The site is well maintained and the view is spectacular from any pitch. The single lane access may be a deterrent to someone towing and we recommend you approach the site from the A329 and not the B4009. Nearby, Goring upon Thames is worth a visit and there seems to be plenty of Bridleways and footpaths in the area to explore. A lovely CL and one we will certainly return to.

Idyllic site

Approach roads are narrow but we managed not to meet anyone either way! The owner/farmer is a really lovely guy ( I believe he is 93 years young!) The site is exactly what we wanted - an empty field. We cycled to The Bell at Aldworth - pretty steady easy cycle ride. We also walked to Streatley and had a drink at The Swan. The walk was approx 2 miles. Very nice walk with a couple of hills. From the site we watched red kites hoovering above and deer in the woods. A perfect spot for relaxing and fantastic for those with dogs

A great getaway

A very peaceful site with fantastic views. Lots of wildlife. Quiet lanes to cycle through. We cycled to Goring for a coffee by the river. Easy on the way there, a little harder on the way back! Also cycled to the Four Points, Aldworth and had a lovely lunch. Bins, water and waste disposal on site. Weather was perfect for us on our weekend visit. Watched the aeroplanes banking in the distance one evening (no noise) and no light pollution. Not far from Goring but felt like a million miles from the stresses of life. Just the way we like it. Very relaxing. Will definitely return.
