We have just spent a week on this cl and I largely agree with the other reviews. The scenery is beautiful as are the sunsets. There are four ponies on the site, we were told about them when we booked. As you can expect there is also a lot of what horses leave behind but did not cause any problems. Nice cycle rides along canal to Slimbridge and Berkeley. The local pub is very welcoming. Open from 7pm to 10pm evenings and 12 till 2pm weekends. Well worth a visit, they do ploughmans lunches.
There are a few downsides. The chemical disposal point is close to the house and comprises of a manhole, the cover of which needs to be pried off with a spade. Disposal of rubbish is also difficult the owner is only allowed one black bag per week and asked us to put our rubbish in the waste bin by the canal. We ended up taking it to the recycling centre about 10 miles away. There is only one tap for all water uses.
The site already has two caravans on it. One seems a permanant residence and the other abandoned.
All in all a pleasant week with minor drawbacks.
