Peaceful but highly priced
We stayed here for 2 nights in September 2019. We were the only people on the site. There were 2 caravans parked up but not being used.
The club website needs to be updated. We paid £ 24 per night.
The grass is very well manicured. There are EHU for about 7 vehicles and one water tap. The toilets are just about acceptable. The lights are on a timer which had not been changed to take into account the shorter days so were unuseable without a torch for an hour or two. The pull switch in the shower was broken and so the shower was unuseable while we were there. It would have cost £ 1 per shower which is not cheap.
The owner's mother who is in her 80s takes your money. She is a wonderful "old" lady who invited me into her living room for a "natter". The site is very peaceful. The area is also very dark so we were treated to one of the most fantastic views of the night sky that I have every seen. The sea is not visible from the pitches but the views are hedges, fields, hills and countryside.
The site is extremely well positioned for people who, like us, are walking the Wales Coast Path. The Llyn Coastal bus stops about 10-15 minutes walk away from the site. The beach is about 5-10 minutes walk down a steep hill. There is Mickey's Bar on the beach but we did not see any other shops/facilities close by. Abersoch is possibly almost an hours walk.
