Simply Awesome

We have just returned from staying at this site for 11 nights and I can honestly say we would have stayed much longer if we didn't have to return to work. The views are to die for, changing almost by the minute and the site couldn't be any quieter. The facilities are exactly as advertised, no showers or loos, but the water, grey waste and chemical waste are close to all pitches. I would recommend bringing blocks for your steadies as the site is on a slight slope. This site is relatively new and as such isn't 100% perfect yet, but Stuart is working on it and helps where he can. If you are travelling to the west coast of Scotland and are happy to use you're own loo and shower, then this site should be on your shortlist for definite. The Old Inn at Appin is a fantastic place to eat and drink, full of character (allegedly haunted) and is a short walk away (15 minutes) across the Jubilee Bridge and along national cycle route 78. Plenty of cycling to be had from the doorstep. The ferry to Lismore is worth the trip.
