We try to stay here when visiting daughter at Corpus Christi, a 30 minute cycle ride through Grantchester meadows. The paddock looks lovely but is too soft during the winter when many other local sites close, so the hard-standing has been great for us in all weathers. The Countryside Restoration Trust HQ is based at Birds Farm with access to walks on the adjacent 400 acre Lark Rise Farm. On a working farm site we expect to see land being put to diverse use; a barn full of young bullocks, a conservation centre, an area of caravan storage and some mud shouldn't be surprising! Barton Jumble Sales are brilliant too!
