13.11.21 We have just returned from a stunning weekend at Blaenglyn. Heather is most welcoming and the site is easy to find. Just keep going straight along the road (there is a no access to waterfalls sign but keep going) site is on your right with a black water tank in the middle of the field. It is so well placed for walks all around Pen-y-Fan. We didn't need to drive anywhere for the two days that we were parked. You can walk along the road to your right which takes you directly onto the Taff Trail and to the Story Car Park at the bottom of the well made path to the top of Pen-Y-Fan. Or you can take the road to your left take the first right and take a different route up to the lake and the top of Pen-Y-Fan, if you're feeling energetic. There are stunning views on this climb but it is steeper. We did a circular route taking the left road walked up Pen-Y-Fan and down to the Story Car Park back along the Taff Trail. It is a good 4 and half hours of hard walking but worth it. Loads of other walks but that was enough for us! Not surprisingly the grass was quite soggy at this time of year so we did take ply wooden planks to sit our wheels on and parked as close to the road as we could. This worked a treat and we had no problems getting off the field. (The road is only used by the few people living down there as it is a dead end, so no noise issues). We loved this site and would highly recommend, you really feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. We hope to be back!
