Ease of arrival/welcome

Yorkshire at it's best.

In over 15 years of being a member of the caravan club we have visited many CL’s . Some of these have lived up to expectations some have fell short. However we can honestly say that the previous reviews of this CL certainly did not mislead us. From arrival to departure we felt that this was one of the friendliest sites that we have visited and combine that with location and the high standard of the CL you have got yourself an excellent base to explore the beautiful area of the Yorkshire coast. Located at the Southern end of the village it was both out-of-the-way and quiet yet only a stones thrown from local amenities and public transport, which provided access to both the Bridlington and Scarborough areas of the Yorkshire coast. The CL is located behind Blakey house secluded and sheltered which would only be known by members of the CC. The CL is relatively flat and levelling blocks are not required making pitching up a painless process. The grass is kept cut short with grass clippings collected on a regular basis; Peter also makes sure that the area is kept neat and tidy and by rotating his pitching areas ensures the quality of the pitches. And for that reason will not allow groundsheets which are no problem with such a well maintained site. All amenities are kept to an immaculate standard with recycling facilities available next to the WC which also has local info and travel guides should you require them. Chemical waste is all located neatly away from the pitches and does what it says on the tin. To sum up, this CL has contributed to one of our best holidays in recent years, a great location and superb costal scenery combined with weather that reminded us of summers past, we have no hesitation in awarding this CL top marks.
