Great little site.

We spent four nights at Bluey’s Farm - it’s a brilliant little place, in a great location. It’s peaceful, and the added bonus is the horses, which are nearby and which you can watch as they are walked and ridden in the adjacent field. The owners are lovely and could not have been more helpful. I cannot recommend this site highly enough and we will be back to enjoy it in the future.

What a fantastic find and delightful site

Well, what a little gem of a site. I have no idea what previous reviews are referring to. The moan about the toilet was when it was closed for COVID and therefore irrelevant. The references to it being a grass verge are misleading. The 5 pitches are next to each other and are of an ample size. They are prettily divided by large tree trunks with foliage. Yes there is a path in front of you but how lovely to watch the horses being put out to graze. Surely we all love watching the world go by. On a busier site that is people going to get water or walking their dogs. Here it's the horses being put out. It's not intrusive and it enhances the experience. With reference to planes. Check geography people. It's close to Heathrow as the crow flies. The surrounding nature and beauty far outweighs any dull background noise. Kites and Peregrine's overhead. A lovely friendly livery yard as the hosts. It's adult only and that's clear. These people work hard to create a super environment. Enjoy the nature and magic of it. I wish I could add photos to my review. You wouldn't be hesitating. People that want kids running around, go to the big sites. Couples who want a gorgeous surrounding with horses and nature to observe. Come here. We will definately be coming back again and again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

misleading aspects of site description

Well manicured grassy pitch site. Good location for nearby landmarks. However, you are not permitted to park your car next to your touring caravan (despite the welcome of motorhomes onto the pitches!). Cars have to be parked approx. 90 yards from your unit. The advertised toilet was in a very poor and unhygienic state. The site fee has been increased by a third from that advertised within this description.

What a find!

I used to live in the area so have many “old haunts” and still a few friends in the vicinity. This site in such a convenient location was a happy find. The owners were both friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. The location, on an equestrian facility was interesting, The site was we’ll tended with clearly marked pitches. Very little disturbed the peace and tranquillity. Would we go again, you bet. We visited with some trepidation, as a couple of adverse reviews were posted just before we visited. We can only conclude that the reviewers were expecting full club site facilities from a CL. We dealt sorry for Stuart and Kate.

Well Managed CL in the Countryside

Really lovely CL with clearly marked out and well tended pitches well away from a main road but with easy access. Stuart welcomed us on arrival and told us where to find everything and also gave a run down on the local hostelries which were aplenty. All the people from the farm were friendly and the horses beautifly cared for. During the day there are planes turning for the descent into Heathrow but this was more interesting than an annoyance and if you have an app like Flightradar24 you can check where they are arriving from. At night the plane activity stops and its very peaceful. Its peaceful anyway, even with the planes. Well positioned for the Chilterns, Windsor, London, Henley and Twyford, 5 mins away has a Waitrose amongst other shops. Some nice circular walks and I should imagine good for cycling as the area is quite flat. Would highly recommend the site and we hope to return soon.

Love it! We’ll be back!

Lovely greeting by Stuart, superbly mown pitches opposite the horse exercise track and polo pitch which was very interesting to watch the beautifully well cared for horses parade. We were grateful for the shade from the tree on our pitch - maybe a tree on every pitch would be a bonus but one can always find shade somewhere! Other sites don't have any trees, just a field! Extensive view across to woodland with muntjac deer and kites a-plenty to keep you entertained and if you have the PLANES LIVE app on your phone its fascinating to analyse the comings and goings of Heathrow and surrounding small airports! There’s a lovely mile’s walk through fields to a friendly xviC pub too. Twyford railway station means that you can be in London in 20 minutes -and Twyford itself is a cute little village with shops, pubs and eateries boasting value Banquet night! We loved this great site, its well tended pitches, the owners and all the stablehands who made us very welcome. The provision of sanitiser at the water station was appreciated given the current situation with C19! We will be back for sure!

Not what we expected

This site is more a grass verge than a site, which has a public right of way right next to your outfit. Doesn’t have the feel of a site at all. We were not told till arrival that we would be charged £5 extra a night to put up an awning, (no ground sheets allowed) AND another £5 a night to put air windbreaks up, supposedly for the cost of grass seed he would have to put down. This needs to be put on his page for transparency The owner had 4 dogs which were allowed to run off lead around the pitches using them as a toilet. There was no covid practices. The facilities were in the stable yard and the toilet had never been cleaned in months and was unusable. The only saving grace about this site it was close to visiting some lovely places such as Windsor and Henley. We left early and won’t be returning

Make sure you get the terms and conditions.

Just returned from here, cost £20 per night extras are not shown. £5 per night for an awning, no groundsheet ( understandable) but would have been nice to have all this information before arriving. You are on a main walk through it’s like your on a grass verge. Owners dogs doing there number 1s and 2s on your pitch. Manner of male owner saying you have terms and conditions otherwise you wouldn’t get on here, but we never received any information even when I tried to explain he was very abrupt. Female was welcoming. Also other campers left earlier due to not having correct information. Won’t be returning.

Lovely site

Spent the weekend here late August and had a lovely time. It’s a small compact site where each vehicle faces forward onto a small polo field. If you are lucky you will also get a grandstand view watching a game. You are located in the heart of a lively equestrian centre and it is wonderful to be surrounded by so much equine hubbub. Extremely quiet except for the reassuring whinnying of the horses. I am sure you will be visited by the resident jack russell terrier who is quite a little character. The site is level and well kept with facilities a short walk away. Wonderful walks in the area and an excellent CAMRA pub within a 15 minutes stroll. Fees are £20/night with electrics with £5 extra if there is an additional car.
