READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING

If you have a dog and like wildlife photography, steer well clear of this site. The warden was the most obnoxious, unfriendly person i have ever met on a C&MC site. On arrival i was ushered into the reception/cafe. She asked me how many nights in was staying. I said 2 possible 3. She said she needed to know there and then. I sad in that case 2. She asked why i was staying there. I told her to go for walks around the lake with my dog and take photographs. I was told that dogs could only be walked before 0730 and after 1730 and not allowed to take photographs around the lake as the fishermen wouldn't like it as it was invading their personal space. She said i should have told her i was bringing a dog when i booked. I replied that as it advertised dog friendly, i didn't see the need. I told her that i would find a site who actually wanted me there and then left. She obviously hated her job or just didn't want caravans/motorhomes there. She did make a point of showing me a sign of 'no dogs allowed around the lake". I made a point of telling her that i couldn't see it when i booked.
