What caravanning is all about!

Just back from a very relaxing weekend at this little gem of a site. A warm welcome awaits from Donald, Marina and the family and they have large well kept pitches with easy access. A perfect base for exploring the area with all required amenities just a short trip away - but far enough to ensure you enjoy the peace and quiet. Highly recommend both the cairn hotel and Jakes bar and restaurant if u r looking for a night off the cooking and the play park is also excellent in carrbridge if you are taking little People! This is a working farm, so as well as the gorgeous mountain scenery we also watched the highland cows, the ponies peaches and misty, and the little chickens did a daily walk by!!

Great highland base

We are just back from 5 nights at this lovely little Cl, Carrbridge is a peaceful little village between aviemore and grant on on Spey. We picked it as a base for skiing as it is about 25 mins from cairngorm mountain and 40 minutes from the lecht ski resort, ( as it was only the lecht had enough snow). The site is well presented and had a mixture of hard and grass pitches, although I would say the grass pitches could be used all year as drainage is very good. The river is 100 yards across the field and provides a nice soundtrack, the fields have horses and cows and they are pleasant to watch too. You can get straight onto the riverside path from the site and it is excellent for walking dogs. Highly recommend this Cl.

Bogroy, Grand addition to the CL nework.

This new site has both grass and H/S pitches, all with good view over the river towards the woods. There is a gravelled riverside path accessed directly from the croft which leads onto a network of waymarked trails through the local woods. The site is accessed down a steepish drive off the A938, a couple of miles from the A9, north of Aviemore. The village of Carrbridge, less than 1/2ml from the site, has a couple hotels, cafes, a small shop and a petrol station. There are lots of interesting places within easy reach, including the Landmark Activity Centre in the village, theRSPB Osprey centre at Boat of Garten, the Cairngorm mountains, Glen More & Loch Morlich, as well as Aviemore itself, where there is a Tesco Superstore and soon an Aldi too. TV reception on the side is very poor and although the site does provide free Wifi we were unable to connect to the internet using it. Marina, the site owner, was investigating ways to improve it and hopefully it will be usable in the near future. It is definitely a site we will use again when we're up this way.

Lovely new site

Just spent 5 nights on this lovely new CL. Nice family , nice site, great walks and drives around the village. Well stocked village shop just around the corner, filling station and several cafes/hotels/bistros within walking distance. Great walk for dogs (and humans ) along the river . We will be back !

Lovely friendly site

We spent 4 nights here on August Bank holiday weekend when we were planning to visit Thunder in the Glens at Aviemore. It is a beautiful, well kept site and really convenient for the village - about 5 minutes walk to local pubs, cafes and shops along a riverside footpath. We were delighted to be there when a little Highland calf (Harley) was born. The young children on the site were present and interested in the new young calf. Watching the kids over the weekend was lovely to see how they were involved in the croft. Thanks to Donald and Marina and the children for allowing our visiting granddaughter (Isla) to use the trampoline and toys. The fresh free range eggs are fabulous.
