The title says it all really ….. a fantastic CL run by a lovely friendly family. This CL has so much appeal!! The site is well kept with the grass always kept neat. The coffee shop adds a dimension and it is nice to see the cyclists and other visitors pull up for their well earned refreshments . The pitches are a good size and the amenities are adequate. John run's the booking system very well and always responds to enquiries. This site will be busy on many weekends because as well as being a great CL it is situated close to the fantastic NT Wallington Hall (take your bikes if you have kids) and Bolam Lake. If you are not local to the North East then the site is an ideal spot to visit Newcastle, Alnwick or anywhere in the North East really. One area that could be improved is the chemical disposal point . It is adequate but a bit close to the coffee shop. I am sure this could be done relatively easily. We have visited twice this year already and we will definitely return again as I said this is what a CL should be like and many CL owners would do well to take a look and follow the example of this CL Thanks John and Kathleen and we will see you again Jim and Isabel Hall
