Ease of arrival/welcome

Fantastic site. Will be going back.

I loved this site. The owners were extremely friendly, taking the time to give me a full tour of the farm upon my arrival, showing me the deer, the horses and the sheep. I mentioned that I had 3 acres of land and that I had considered trying to set up my own CL. The gentleman was kind enough to spend around 30 minutes talking me through what was involved and all the pitfalls. It felt like nothing was too much trouble for them. There was a tiny amount of road noise from the country lane the other side of the hedge as cars went past every 5-10 minutes but it wasn’t too intrusive (and to be fair I couldn’t even hear it from inside the caravan). Don’t let 1 bad review from someone who was disgruntled because they couldn’t get a mobile phone or tv signal put you off. You’re on holiday to get away from all of that anyway!!! I didn’t try tv as I don’t own one. As one of the other reviews said Three’s mobile signal was very hit and miss. More miss than hit if I’m brutally honest (but that isn’t unusual for Three once you get in the countryside). O2 was useable. Unlike the earlier reviewer, I don’t think that you can really blame the campsite if your mobile phone operator can’t provide you with a phone signal!!! The site was obviously well looked after, and things were extremely relaxed. None of this “keep your dog on a lead” business like at the main club sites. It was pretty much keep an eye on the dog, don’t let it bother the farm animals or other people and clean up if it messes. Full marks for a well run and nicely kept CL.
