We wanted somewhere local to have a "trial" night in the motorhome with our grandaughter. Well - we wished we could have stayed longer - it was fabulous. Beautiful setting, so peaceful and gorgeous trees. It worked out brilliantly. Looking forward to taking her back soon.
Great little gem and find in neighbouring village!
A hidden gem
For those of you, like me, who have a full facilities outfit and have absolutely no need for a singing and dancing full facilities site, this one is an absolute gem!
The site is basic, it is very level and the access is quite reasonable for medium sized outfits, however very long single or twin axle vans might experience a grounding problem at the entrance from the road.
The fresh water, waste disposal and bin facilities are all located off the site up close to the owners house, so owners of outfits with on board tanks will not be able to replenish their tanks unless they make multiple return trips with a watering can or similar............. To my knowledge not many people carry a long enough hose pipe to reach anywhere near far enough.
I did have one distinct problem with the waste bins, there were lots of them but not one of them is marked, so heaven knows how anyone can decide what has to be deposited in what bin!!
Dog walking from the site is absolutely brilliant with many well signed public footpaths from almost adjacent the sites entrance.
The site proved to be an excellent base for us to tour around the surrounding countryside.
We will definitely be visiting this site at some time in the future.
