Rain stop Play

We were booked in here for 2 nights as we went on the Flying Scotsmen on the Saturday - but Saturday afternoon the heavens opened and thus it was to stay until Monday - so we contacted Mr Hewson on the Saturday morning from Dereham and left a message on his answer phone. He rang back not long after and he was happy that we leave on the Saturday afternoon when we got back from the railway. He also instructed us as to where we were to put our payment (in the post box at the front door). That said we did stay over on the Friday night. There was one other motorhome on site so we parked in the sunshine on the next available hook up. The grass did need a good cut but the field itself was ample with plenty spaces to pitch up. We had to play "hunt the water" on our arrival - but no matter. (All the "services" are in the top RH corner before the wall leading up to the house). On leaving the next day my husband observed that the bins could do with being emptied. The site itself is ideal for visiting Dereham. It is a 7 mile round trip to cycle into the town - all on the NCR 13 - which we also followed the previous afternoon when we went for a cycle ride down to Watton and back. As the field is so big it would be handy if there was some sort of information pack at the entrance to the field as we were certainly left to our own devices when we arrived. Lots of squirrels!
