What a lovely peaceful little CL, well positioned for the Norfolk coast, well kept site with wide pitches and pretty outlook of the horses.
Penny was approachable and friendly and even tho electric was metered it still proved to be good value.
Lovely villages around the site and The Plough at Marsham was a good find.
Horsey gap, Happisburgh lighthouse, Cromer, Aylsham market place, Blakeney Point (Magpies cafe for delicious cakes) all should be visited.
Great little CL
Thank you, Penny for allowing us to stay on your lovely CL - just the sort of quiet "away from it all" site we like. Also, to see Tilly and her Mum!
What a great location you have! Access straight on to Cawston Common and Marsham Heath - superb area for our Collies - both of whom are well trained, so we were able to let them run and run, whilst keeping them well away from the wild ponies who live and really "own" the common, but plenty of room for all though. We walked every day including across the common up into the woods beyond, even up to the pond and it's lovely, thatched boat shed.
rom you site it was also easy, we were able to easily drive and see the Norfolk broads even down south as far as the very southern tip. We also found the East and North Coasts were easily accessible, so we visited lots of lovely beaches and saw some lovely creeks and wetlands along the North coast. We went through many stunning villages and were taken with the small town of Holt further North.
We were even able to easily access Norwich itself with it's Cathedral and lovely streets - with is plethora of Park and Ride site around it it was so easy to get into the centre.
We had a great time as did our two dogs. I've no doubt that we will come again when we are next in Norfolk
Wonderful
Wonderful CL, well worth the journey from East Yorkshire
If you do not like Silence do not come
It one of the best CLs we have been on and we have been caravanning 40 years
You will not be disappointed

Nice CL in an area we’ve not visited in over 30 years
Lovely CL in a great location, my only criticism would be the hard standings are only wide enough for the caravan we a visited in October after not much rain so the car on the grass wasn’t a problem, but with the awning on the grass it was starting to get a bit muddy. Should have put the caravan on the grass and the awning on the hard standing, but that’s not always allowed.
Weekend Visit
Managed to get away for a few days, only 30+ miles from home.
We visited Botany Bay Farm, just north of Norwich. Its a Caravan and Motorhome cl, 5 pitches all hard standing c/w grass for awnings etc, no facilities i.e showers or toilets. There is a fresh water point, Elsen disposal point which to keep in with the site requirements, green toilet fluid has to be used, metered electricity, instructions are available in the information hut, There is a direct route via the owners back gate to the track leading to Cawston/Marsham forest and heath. So no need to go on the road.
There are wild ponies on the heath, which do visit the site boundaries
The site has paddocks which have horses in them, so dogs have to be on leads. There are dogs on site which belong to the owner so be aware they may be out, but as I understand it normally confined to the house area. It is quiet and relaxing, lovely walks from the site and totally off road. Penny the owner is very helpful and nothing is to much trouble.
The local town of Aylsham is a few miles away for any supplies, the site is well located for visiting Norwich, North Norfolk, The Coast from Wells next to sea to Gt Yarmouth and the Norfolk Broads.
The entrance is easily accessible, we have a large 8.71 mtr motorhome which entered the site with no trouble.
This is a site now on our radar that we will be revisiting.
RELAX IN A BEAUTIFUL SETTING.......
Just back from our 2nd visit to this site & already planning the next.
The site is easy to find & Penny is a very welcoming hostess, very easy going & always ready to help when needed.
If you love horses (as I do), you'll love it, there are 3 on site. The site offers peaceful tranquillity amidst nature. Tidy but not overly manicured, more on the rustic side & totally relaxing. From the far end of the site there's a stile that takes you onto Cawston Heath with it's wild ponies roaming free. From there you can walk over Marston Heath, Cawston Heath or explore the woodland which has a trail leading to a beautiful lily pond, in fact you can walk for miles! Aylesham is approx 5 miles away by road where you can find a Tesco should you need supplies, there's also a caravan accessories shop approx 3 miles away. This lovely site is the place to go when your batteries need recharging! Thank you Penny for a lovely stay!
Lovely cl
Easy to find and lovely when you drive in to see the horses, spacious well kept site, wild life in mind not to manicured, a lovely rustic feel which suits us just fine, went off to bure valley railway just up the road at aylsham which is a beautiful miniature railway, fish and chips at the other end of the line at wroxham. Back to the cl to see penny feeding and looking after the horses. The next day a good walk from the farm up past the lily pond, a great stay on this cl which has such a nice relaxing feel.would highly recommend 😀
Love our motorhome

Peace and quiet
We had a lovely 5 night stay at Botany Bay Farm. The site is clean and spacious. There are many walks from the site over beautiful heath land. So many places to visit in that area of Norfolk. Thank you Penny we will be back.
Great CL
Stayed here for 7 nights , lovely huge pitches table and chairs to each pitch , it's £15 a night , when you arrive you read the metre and pay at the end of your stay you put the money in an envelope and put in the green letter box near the house , it worked out at £2 per night so in all £14 for 7 nights electric plus £105 for the week just under a £120 which is really good value , as for the review about the owners dog being a problem he was friendly and we had no problems but we don't never leave our dog outside unless we are with her as on caravan clubs there is always one dog running about . The site has a style which leads to the heath and woods where you can walk miles , Holt , Sheringham and Cromer are not far , Aylsham is a few miles down the road with a Tescos , Aylsham garden centre is not far away they do really good meals and not far away is Down Tide Caravans and Norwich Caravans , we will be back Thank you Penny
If you camp with a dog AVOID
The description refers to welcoming well behaved dogs and not troubling other campers with your dog. Sadly the owners do not subscribe to the behaviour they demand of the visitors. They have a brown and white border collie like dog. He attacked our pup whilst the pup was tied to the fence. We’re grateful our pup has a very heavy coat else the damage would have been serious. Their dog meant we were confined to the inside and fearful of going for a walk. No way to enjoy a site. It didn’t take much thought to tidy up and go, despite having paid in advance. Yes the setting is good but not that good you would want to risk your dog’s well being.
