The Perfect CL

What is on YOUR list for the perfect CL? Quiet? Loads of room? Well set out? Convenient clean facilities? Excellent directions and a ‘piece of cake’ to get to? Friendly helpful hosts? Dark skies at night? Add to that an interesting range of wildlife actively encouraged by your hosts? Close to heritage sites and the coast? And if you want TV, we had excellent reception. We found all of that and more at Brickley Wood CL. We had a wonderful week’s stay last week and we will be going there again. What a find! Thank you Mark and your family for making our visit so brilliant!

What a great CL!

What an excellent CL. Access is straightforward, with a good entrance and level track. Instructions are clear, with a large notice board (containing covid info, which is a bit outdated, but hopefully that will change). The site slopes but is not as bad as some sites. EHU and water are straightforward, the bins are obvious and checked frequently, and there is recycling on site. Excellent 4G signal from EE, and there's a transmitter on the actual site for O2 and Vodafone, so phenomenal signal strength. Not sure about TV, holidays are not for watching TV so we don't have one. Some circular dog walks available from the site. Good access to Snettisham, Sandringham, and other sights. Lidl 2 miles up the road for cheapo food. Mark (owner) extremely helpful and very welcoming. If we are back in this area we will have no hesitation returning.

Practically perfect in every way

Just got back from a 5 night stay. What a gem of a sight. Fully serviced pitch, we had a hard standing pitch on this site. owner was very polite and left us to our own devices. Very quiet sight. View looking into a wooded area watching the various birds, including the regular visitor of a Blue Tit, and the occasional visit of a Jay. We stayed in our Motorhome and either walked into the nearby villages Dersingham or Snettisham. If we wanted to go further afield we caught the local bus the bus stop is just on the main road. Rose and Crown in Snettisham is a beautiful little pub with a large beer garden. Coach and Horses in Dersingham is also very nice. Check their own website as they have different events on. We will definitely be coming back to this sight.

Perfect site for our short break

After breaking down on the M11, we had to cut our week long break to Kent short. We've never looked at the certified locations before but found this one and gave it a go on the spur of the moment. Calling ahead to enquire about vacancies was pleasant and informative and on arrival we deposited our cash & info in the agreed place. The site is on the side of a hill next to a small wood and far enough away from any major roads to maintain the peace & quiet. It's full of wildlife, pheasants and partridges are in abundance. There is of course water, elsan point and recycling facilities on site. We loved it and hope to visit again soon.

Everything you would want from a CL and holiday

Can't praise this CL enough. Beautiful, spacious and quiet setting but only a short drive to most things on the north Norfolk coast. Site is easy to find from the description, owners very warm and welcoming. Very well kept, often out moving when a pitch is vacated. It is abundant with wildlife: ducks, a family of Little Owls, rabbits, squirrels and a very lazy pheasant. An information board when you arrives tells you what you need to know and you can leave payment there, simple and effective. The pitches are sloped but its not a problem as the info does say they slope and the owner has kindly provided some extra blocks etc if people need them. An easy, hassle free place to holiday.

Wonderful site

Stayed for 3 nights in June. Lovely little site, very peaceful and well kept. Owner friendly and helpful but then left you to it, which I like. Excellent mobile reception for O2. Facilities all easy to access. Two large storage barns and caravan storage on site but are not intrusive. Surrounded by farmland and nature. Regular visitors were a male and female pheasant, 2 hares, and heard but not seen, an owl. Lots to do in the surrounding area. Directions easy to follow, slow right down as you approach the top of the hill and you won't miss it. The Brickley Wood sign is varnished wood and if you aim for the regular CL signage you'll miss the entrance.

Brinkley wood

We stayed here in September ,directions were good but then confusing as they have 2 sites Hall farm is the other serviced site . Friendly lady but didn't have a lot of local info. Can walk into Dersingham where there are a few shops. We wanted to go to sandringham as we didn't know how far or how to walk we went in our camper, well worth a visit. We had woods in front of us on the site but storage and industrial units behind. £16 a night, tv reception was good

Lovely, quiet, will organized site in a great location.

Having not been to Norfolk for a holiday visit before, this was our first stop on a leisurely tour of Norfolk and Suffolk. Great first stop, well organised, electric and water on the pitch, everything clean and tidy, and friendly welcome. Great cycling in the area, lots to see nearby, shops in the village about a mile away, Sandringham and beaches just down the road. Really enjoyed all the hedgerow blackberries in the surrounding lanes. Be happy to recommend, or re-visit.

Excellent Site

Easy access, plenty of space, peace and quiet, well looked after site - regularly mown with grass clippings picked up, friendly and helpful owners, excellent location and lots of places to visit nearby. What is there not to like about this new CL? Well done Mark and thank you.
