May Road Trip

The May Road Trip is now on its homeward leg - lovely site in Derbyshire with serviced pitches, hardstanding for the caravan but grass alongside, spacious pitches. Directions good, the last few hundred yards is uphill on single track road so care needed - entrance to site excellent and well marked. Stone driveway to pitches. Useful information on board. Lovely scenery, quiet - it's a working farm so occasional lorry movements. Three pubs in the village but didn't manage to get parked so can't comment on the food. Quite limited dog walking apart from using the roads. We would be happy to visit again if we were in the area - ideal situation for visiting Matlock, Bakewell, Buxton.

Thank-you for your review. I am somewhat perplexed by your "limited dog walking" comment as there are 5 separate footpaths running off the lane. I appreciate that some of the stiles aren't the easiest for some dogs but any visitor to the Peak District must appreciate that this is a livestock farming area and they can assume that all fields with footpaths will have livestock in them and so dogs must be kept on leads.
