Lovely CL in a nice setting

This is our 2nd time here and won't be the last. Paul and Helen are the lovely owners of Brunette Cottage. The site access is good off a lane 1.5 miles from the main A road there is room for vehicles to pass on most of it. Fully serviced pitches are well spaced, hardstanding and level. We had the furthest pitch which was nearest to the dog exercise area (with bins provided) so a lot of green space there. In the little summerhouse where you can get fresh eggs, music is playing, there is lots of local information and spare things you may have forgot to bring or need to borrow for your caravan or motorhome. The toilet and shower (shared use) is in a shed converted into a bathroom with underfloor heating and is kept spotlessly clean. The site is well kept with flowers and immaculate lawns. Definitely recommend a visit.

Fantastic CL

Absolutely love this Adults Only CL situated on the English/Welsh border in Shropshire. If you want peace and quiet this is the site, it's a gem. Everything is perfect. The pitches are spacious and well laid out with EHU and water to each. The facilities are second to none, with lots of little touches, making it like home. Dogs are welcome with a dog area for exercise etc. There is an information room, with ideas of places to visit, DVD's and books to borrow. Paul & Helen have thought of everything, there are also items to borrow in case things are forgotten in the rush to get away. A worthy winner of 2019 CL of the year and I would certainly expect it to win the title again, which it so deserves. Thank you Paul & Helen for a lovely stay. We cannot wait to return.

Wonderful and Beautiful

We have just spent the most glorious two days on this site. Wished we could have stayed for longer. In short this site is perfect in every way. Its clean, spacious, beautiful gardens, lovely view, quiet, sweet little information but where everything has been thought of. The cute little washroom shower with underfloor heating what more could you ask for. To top it off the owners are also delightful. There is not a negative about this site 😊

A beautifully kept CL

We stayed here for a single night on the 31st of May but wish we could have stayed longer. The site is absolutely beautiful. We had a very friendly welcome and were shown where everything was. The pitches are spacious and grounds around each pitch are very neat and tidy. As others have mentioned, the facilities are great. The shower room is lovely. Clean, welcoming and a good powerful shower. The summer house with information about things in the local area is excellent. It was nice to see things available for guests to borrow, games, DVDs, books, binoculars and much more. It felt like there was real attention to detail at Brunette Cottage. Thank you to the hosts for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back.

Hidden gem

Brunette cottage is a beautifully kept, peaceful CL just on the Welsh side of the England: Wales border. If you are looking for a pleasant surprise off the beaten track then look no further. Instead of rushing to the coast or following the crowds in Eryri ( Snowdonia) come here and enjoy miles of scenic walks and hidden history. Welcoming hosts, clean facilities and free croquet on the best kept CL croquet lawn we have seen.

Perfect CL

Just returned from a 3 night stay at this wonderful CL. Having read some of the reviews we had high expectations and were certainly not disappointed. It is beautifully maintained, has a great little summerhouse containing information on places of interest, books, dvds, even a useful toolkit for any essentials you might have forgotten to pack. The shower room, as others have mentioned, is fabulous with under floor heating and is spotlessly clean. There is a dog exercise area which we found to be very handy for our old border collie, plus great walks from the site. The location is beautiful with rolling countryside in all directions and the owner Paul was lovely - helpful and welcoming but not intrusive. All in all we loved every minute of our stay and are definitely hoping to book again very soon. This site is how all CLs should be run, it is simply perfect.

Beautiful CL site

Just had a three night stay and what a wonderful site, pitches all serviced, shower/toilet hut wonderful with its under floor heating and always clean, information hut has plenty of leaflets, books & DVDs amongst other things. Views from pitches were lovely and you can watch the sunset. Paul the owner welcomed us and went through everything on site and also gave us details of a circular Lane walk with the dog. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this site if you wish to explore Shropshire or North Wales

Best CL site

We recently stayed 4 nights at this wonderful site. The owners are very friendly and extremely helpful. They keep the site immaculate and the washroom facilities are outstanding, easily the best we’ve experienced, complete with underfloor heating!!! There is a gorgeous summerhouse full of local information, equipment you may need to borrow and there’s even tranquil music playing quietly in there !! The whole site is delightful and we would highly recommend anyone to stay there. Thank you for a perfect stay. Darren and Claire Hughes.

Wonderful Site

Just returned from a super seven nights stay. The site is well maintained and its facilities are top class, especially the shower shed, with its underfloor heating. Plenty to do for the week we were here being well positioned for Wales, Cheshire and Shropshire. Thank you to Paul.

Perfect attention to detail

I'd read about Brunette Cottage Caravan Park and was keen to pay a visit. I stayed for 1 night in a VW camper and was impressed on how beautiful and well kept the site was, despite it still being winter. I can only imagine what the site looks like during spring and summer. Others have called it a 'gem' of a site and it is just that, with attention to detail evident throughout . The pitches were hardstanding and spacious and I was able to put up a canopy awning without difficulty. Following a seven mile walk I was able to enjoy the warm and cosy shower room which also houses a w.c. and handbasin. I looked in at the information room which is a treasure trove of books, leaflets and which also has many items which you may have forgotten to bring with you. Paul was very welcoming and hopefully my wife and I will be visiting again this weekend with more visits planned during the spring and summer. This site has the qualities which all CL's should aspire to.
