This CL is in an absolutely beautiful location overlooking a valley in the Clwydian hills. Mervyn and Beryl who run the site are lovely friendly people and provided us with a box of eggs from their own hens, and lots of helpful info about the area, and also their lovely pets-9 Manx cats and 2 Corgis! They keep the site spotlessly clean and the water/chemical toilet facilities are the best we have ever seen! The site is surrounded with beautiful herbaceous flower and shrub borders, all planted by Mervyn who was a horticultural expert in the Isle of Man, and looked after lovingly by him and Beryl. Denbigh was quite easy to visit once you knew the road to travel on, which is the one that runs from opposite Saron chapel and brings you out by Denbigh Leisure Centre. You need to stay on the road all the way and ignore what the satnav says! Llyn Brenig is also just a few miles away with a great Visitor Centre and cafe, kid's playground and lovely walks over the dam and around the lake. It is also a good base for travelling deeper into Wales, for example the Snowdonia area which is only half an hour's drive at most.All in all a fabulous stay and will definitely be back!
