A lovely relaxing stay

We have just returned home after staying at this neat and tidy site for 12 days. Emma is welcoming, but doesn’t bother you unnecessarily, but did let us have some excellent freshly laid free range eggs. We didn’t use the facilities but they did appear to be clean and tidy. The provision of a small area where dogs can be off lead is great and also provides an excellent view of Snowdonia if the weather is clear. The site doesn’t have a lake view due to the trees growing too high, but there is a path directly from the site down to the lakeside, and from there you can walk into Llangefni, an excellent walk with the dog. We watched the RAF trainer planes as they flew overhead at the site when they used Mona airfield for practise, though this was not that frequent. An excellent central base, which my wife used to walk the Anglesey coastal path, allowing me not to have too far to travel for drop off or collection. A visit to Parys mountain on a sunny evening is well worth a trip. A really lovely stay.

Lovely Site

Stayed in October for a week, Emma and Dad both lovely and accommodating. Site has everything you need for facilities that are clean and a couple of showers and toilets to choose from. Lovely quiet and well kept site with immediate access through the pines to Llangefni Reservoir; Llyn Cefni. Easy access in and out of the site and close to Llangefni.

Excellent CL

Excellent site, very clean and tidy pitches. Amenities very clean. Dog friendly and the dog exercise field is a great plus. Short and clearly marked walk from the site to the reservoir. Emma (owner) really pleasant and helpful. Great access to beaches. Will definitely return.

Pleasant stay

A little gem of a site. Easy access and lovely pitches. All helped by the fact we had 7 days of wall to wall sunshine. Very quiet except when the RAF fly low over the site during weekdays. Facilities ok and nice to have a shower on a CL. Easy access to all of Anglesey being a central location. Fabulous for cycling with the Lon las cefni trail accessible from half a mile away. Fully recommend this mainly off road route which will take you easily to Newborough forest. A little tricky through LLangefni even though we’ll sign posted. No doubt we will be returning.

Perfect spot

After a last minute decision to get away for the weekend we were so pleased that Emma was able to fit us in on a grass pitch, so glad we did! Lovely peaceful site with clean facilities and convenient spot for visiting most of the island. Will definitely be returning, especially for more free range eggs! Thanks Emma!

Thank you Emma - From Steve, Elizabeth and Sara (May 2021) You saved our bacon... literally!!

Thank you Emma for saving our first caravan holiday by letting us use your fridge when we discovered ours wasn't working! And thank you for the FREE eggs!! We will definitely be coming back. Your site was in an amazing position in that it was central to everything else! But we were happy enough to stay at your peace place. Everything is no more than 20 minutes away! Which is great for those that want a base to explore all what Anglesey has to offer. We could not fault your campsite. The toilets and showers were impeccable all the time. The attention to detail was very good. Look forward to seeing you again soon. Steve, Elizabeth and Sara

Suited Our Needs

This CL has a lot going for it in terms of its central location on Anglesey. Access is from a B road down a farm drive. It is hidden from the road and very peaceful. The hard standing pitches are all in a row and look towards Snowdonia (weather permitting). The pitches are single width so any awnings/cars are on the grass which was all close mown. Each pitch has its own picnic table and there is plenty of room to spread out. Water and recycling is adjacent to the CL but the CDP is a short walk away adjacent to the shower/toilet block. We didn't use these but they were spotlessly clean. There is a small camping field, the occupants of which have access to one shower block and the other is set aside for the CL. Initial communication with the owner, Emma, was good and the booking was swiftly confirmed. However, we had to find everything ourselves when we arrived and didn't see anybody until about six days later when we wanted to pay our fees. I understand that some owners don't want to crowd the CL visitors but this went the other way. The site shows laundry facilities on the CAMC entry but I never found them. There is limited safe walking from the site but the owners have a substantial ladder stile in the bottom of the field which gives access to a circular walk around the local reservoir. However, the stile was topped with barbed wire and brambles making it difficult to get over with two dogs in tow. A few tweaks could make this a brilliant CL and we would use it again if in the area mainly because it is so peaceful. Thanks.

Dilemma - should we keep this a secret?

What a dilemma - I am not sure that I should tell anyone about how good this place is... it might mean that it becomes so booked up we could not get back on! We have visited twice this year and I can honestly say its brilliant. The pitches are all great, the access is super - although a few potholes appearing in the road this summer - The views are fantastic and it is so peaceful. I could literally sit in the window or out on the grass watching the wildlife and scenery all day. Toilets are brilliant and very clean. The owners and their family are lovely. They dont pester you but are there if you need them. They maintain the site and its spaces really well. Thankyou for our lovely summer memories.

Peaceful and relaxing.

Good hard standing recently upgraded. Plenty of space for caravans and awnings. Good access from the road to pitches. Toilets and showers available near farmhouse. Wonderful easy walk round nearby reservoir. Visited the first week in April. Centrally located for easy access to all Angelsea.
