Ease of arrival/welcome

OUTSTANDING - superb views and terrific welcome

This CL is an AMAZING position. Pitch your van and look out to sea! Pitch the other way and look to those hills! PEACE, TRANQUILITY - what more do you want? Mrs Noble is a splendid host who makes you so VERY welcome on arrival and throughout your stay. She is happy to advise re good walks and places to visit. Or if you prefer she leaves you to enjoy the peace of the wonderful countryside. Yes there is a minor issue with having to lift the wastewater container up a couple of feet to empty BUT if this is a problem to you then ask and Mrs Noble would allow you to empty in the hedges. The area is very scenic and we had no difficulty finding places to go and see. We walked every day too. If you require shops (other than the basic food shops) this may not be the area for you!! Daily essentials (milk, bread etc) can be found in Whithorn. Petrol is available there too (at a premium) The roads in the area are narrow but quite, very suitable for cyclists. WALKING is somewhat of a challenge in Scotland as there are no footpaths marked on OS maps! It is said you can walk ANYWHERE! Don't believe it! Get advice from the friendly locals. Places to eat can be found in Whithorn but try the Pheasant at Sorbie (about 5 miles) if thou fancy a superb italian meal at very reasonable cost. Very good cafe at The Whithorn Centre and also at the Isle of Whithorn (St Ninian's Tearoom) We hope to return.Highly recommended.
