Ease of arrival/welcome

Warm welcome

Followed the directions and found the site without a problem. Mandy greeted us and explained where everything was situated. Unfortunately we arrived during the wettest September I can remember and although the site is partially hardstanding areas were very boggy especially the path to the chem disposal point. Venture ye not in this area without wellies. The surrounding villages are worth exploring if only for their architecture especially worth a look around is Stratton, it has a lovely church, as well as two pubs both selling food, the Kings Arms is the one used by the locals and is very friendly and welcoming the other one is up the hill in the village and is more of an upmarket restaurant but very quaint. One other building which must be visited is the ancient church of St Swithins at Launcells. For a completely different experience visit the newly opened livestock market on the outskirts of Holsworthy there's also a very good cafe attached. Would we stay at this site again, yes without reservation. Hopefully the path to chem point will have been resurfaced by then.

Comment from the Club

Thank you for your review and we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. We just wanted to let you know that the path you mention has now been surfaced with stone so will no longer be a problem in wet weather. The CL owners hope to welcome you back soon.
