What a fantastic CL with warm friendly owners (but don't tell anyone or it may get busy!)
What a find! We booked in here for the August bank holiday week and it is certeinly on our list of sites to remember, for all the RIGHT REASONS! Approached from Cirencester which was a nice easy route with no hills to concern yourself about, even with a long twin axel (Swift Conquerer 645) caravan. Site is gated due to the livery stables and made you feel very safe and secure. We had a pitch reserved for us as they were booked up for the bank holiday weekend and were met by the down to earth and wonderfuly friendly owner who immediately gave us all the directions and information we needed. The immaculate showers and toilet block are second to none with 3 ample toilets and 2 large wet rooms with power showers (which are perfect when persuading a 9 year old boy to have a shower!). Unfortunately, they were so good I had to bribe him to get out of the shower - every day! The site is central to many NT & EH sites and we certainly made the most of our memberships. I cannot find anything negative to say, almost a first for me. LocalPlacesOfInterest, security, site, facilities, warmth of welcome and friendliness are SECOND TO NONE. Until next time... :o))))
By the way, it's well worth the 5 minute drive to The Weighbridge Inn to sample their 2in1 pie, just make sure you have a very light lunch!!
