Lovely quiet CL

This CL is in wonderful countryside, offering tranquility, views, access to good walking and nearby NT properties. Just what we look for in a CL and at a very fair rate. We’d stay here again without hesitation.

Really nice

We really enjoyed our stay here, in fact we extended it by a few days as on our first day it rained so hard we didn’t get out of the van! Fortunately for us the weather improved and we were able to visit Stratford-upon-Avon, Upton House and Charlecote as well as Anne Hathaway’s house and Leamington Spa. All easy distances from the site. We did have one small problem, we were at the bottom of the site and our fridge kept bleeping every time we switched another appliance on or off. The couple who arrived on the next pitch just as we left told us they had the same problem, so I wonder if there may be an issue with the electrics on the bottom pitches. Moving on to another site our problem disappeared. Apart from that the site was perfect and very well kept. The welcome was great too.

Spring Break

Have just spent four nights at this lovely cl and completely agree with the other reviews as to how good it is. One particularly good point is that the grass is closely mown and all cuttings are collected so no fear of any being trod into your awning or caravan. If you have a four legged friend there are numerous walks from the site and if you do not want to venture to far to exercise them it is a nice stroll round the perimeter of the field in front of the site. We were very lucky with the weather and it was great to be able to sit outside our van looking at the views and listening to the bird song. We will definitely be returning to this site as it is great value for the £12 per night we paid.

Beautful site

We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of October. It's a lovely CL with masses of space. The hardstandings are level and very well spaced apart, and in the summer I guess there would be the option of pitching on grass. It's easy to find, and the CL is straight past the farmyard with no turns required except an easy one off the road. Mrs Bere was helpful, particularly when we had a question about local footpaths. The WC is in the farmyard past the house, and worth finding as there is also a map and local info about pubs etc. There were great countryside views from the site and we saw a hare and deer in the farm fields. We chose the CL because we wanted to visit a daughter at university in Coventry, and few in the area were open beyond the end of October. Coventry is well worth a visit - don't miss the cathedral! Warwick and Stratford are also within easy reach. The only downside was the traffic noise - it's less than a mile from the motorway, and for most of our stay there was a northerly wind so we heard the traffic quite clearly. By the end the wind had shifted to the south and the nose all but disappeared. Otherwise perfect!

So peaceful

The site was easy to find and the pitch had been marked with a reserved sign for us by the owner. Whilst we did not meet the owner, the water and waste were easy to find as were the instructions for payment. Our pitch looked over the fields which were full of birds. A young woodpecker especially kept us entertained. Dog walking a delight in such nice surroundings. The site was so quiet and peaceful, we will definitely return. It has become our favourite so far.

Lovely views

A lovely big site with lots of space between good hardstanding pitches and lovely views across open countryside. A quiet location with only a slight traffic rumble in the background which caused us no issue , there is some walking round fields but a slight lack of clear pathways for longer dog walking. A friendly welcome on arrival then left to get on although the owners were close at hand if needed Will definitely return

Peaceful and scenic

We received a warm welcome from Mrs Bere on our arrival. Our pitch provided us with amazing views of the surrounding countryside. During the course of our stay the weather ranged from sunshine, to rain, then snow making the views all the more spectacular. There was plenty of information regarding local amenities provided by Mr and Mrs Bere but due to the weather we did not take advantage of any during this visit. We would certainly return to this lovely site thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Perfectly lovely!

We have just returned from a winter wonderland stay at this lovely CL. Large field surrounded by 5 hardstanding pitches. About half a mile down a farm track so our 4x4 was needed to get us out onto the road in the snowy weather. Easy access to M40. Toilet in farmyard away from site but perfectly clean. Beautiful sunsets, rural, hill views - a super setting if you like peace and quiet. Hundreds of little birds behind our van in the hedge - delight to watch them whilst sitting in our cosy van. We managed a 6mile walk from the site with the Herb Centre being our turnaround point and a great stop for coffee and cake. Mrs Bere very pleasant, unobtrusive but there if you need her. Would love to visit again in more clement weather.

Lovely

A lovely, spacious site, with caravans situated around the perimeter of a large open field. Amenities were good, and it was a nice to approach through a well maintained farm yard. Very good for access from the M6 for an overnight stay, and I would be happy to stay here for a longer holiday.
