Cosy site

This site had a lovely feel; under the shadow of the church tower and beside a pony paddock. Well maintained. Good communication beforehand. We cycled to Stalham for access onto the Broads and also visited Sutton's claim to fame, the tallest windmill.

Lovely country CL

Bush Farm is a lovely peaceful Cl 1.5 miles from Stalham. Julie was a great host with a email prior to arrival with very clear directions to site & information on the area. The lane past the church does narrow down on approach to entrance but we had no issues with an 8mtr motorhome. With large spacious pitches we were able to put up our gazebo without intruding on anyone else. £18.00 per night including EHU was very good. The village of Sutton is a very lovely village with a local garage for all your needs, stocks most things. The site is situated close to the broads which are a real pleasure to visit we hired a day boat from Potter Heigham for 6 hours which was great our granddaughter had a brilliant day on the broads with a picnic at How Hill & feeding the cygnets & ducklings. We went to Horsey Beach to see the seals & were very lucky to see so many lounging on the sand. Sea Palling another close family beach & a lovely day at Happisburg. A small cafe on the entrance to the car park serving homemade cakes. Overall a very central base to visit the area all within a 10 minute drive with our granddaughter. Will definitely be back again. Lovely wee place to stay

Just spent a lovely 6 nights here. If you approach from the church side as advised by Julie there is only a short stretch of narrow lane. We came in from the opposite end of the lane via sat nav and still were ok in 7m motorhome. It's an easy walk to Sutton and a little further along to Stalham and the museum of the broads where we had a sail on a steam boat, bookable online. Lovely meal in The Swan Stalham and a fantastic fun evening in The Harnser with Glam X and friendly locals. Nice quiet lanes for cycling, we cycled to Sea Palling mainly single track roads all the way. We would highly recommend this site for a walking, cycling, relaxing holiday.

Really lovely Country site with very helpful owners.

This is a lovely quiet country site on the edge of Sutton village with the town of Stalham just a mile and a half away. The field is mostly level with large spacious grass pitches all with EHU. Communication with the owners was excellent both before arrival and when onsite. Water and chemical waste points are on the site and easily accessible. We have only scored 4 of 5 for the Ease Of Arrival because the last 100 yards of the approach road is rather narrow and makes the turn into the site a little difficult for those with a longer caravan (our car/caravan combination is some 40ft). Sutton has a general store and nearby Stalham has a traditional high street with cafe's, pubs, hardware store etc. It also has a Tesco store with both fuel station and electric charging points. Located within the Norfolk Broads Area, Sutton has its own staithe (quay) and boatyard and Stalham has numerous boatyards and the Museum Of The Norfolk Broads. Day boats can be hired from either Sutton or Stalham. Hickling Broad is only about 5 mins away by car with Potter Heigham and Wroxham both easily reached by car. The site owners are really helpful and provide a good information leaflet and are also able to answer any questions about where to go and what to see etc.

Pleasant 7 night stay

Just returned from a 7 night stay at this site. Very nice, quiet and located to visit most places in North Norfolk. Entrance was a little tight for my outfit in and out. The hedges obscure your view when exiting and thus needs to be done with care, as some traffic can pass with speed. The lane is a little narrow, thankfully I didn’t meet someone coming the other way. The toilet disposal point was filthy, with no hose available to rinse down the bowl. The tap situated close to this had a faded sign, so unclear if to be used for drinking water or waste only. Seeing people sticking the tap down their Thetford toilet to clean it, I made the assumption that it was not for drinking. The sign needs correcting/updating. I have knocked back my overall rating due to this and the entrance, but generally this was a well looked after site, very quiet location and would be happy to use it again

Comment from the Club:

We are delighted you had a pleasant 7 night stay here. We just wanted to let you know for future visits, the Chemical Emptying Point has now been rectified and a hose is available for rinsing. New signs have been ordered and will be displayed accordingly.

Great site

Only spent one night here, which was a shame really as it's such a nice site. Reasonably level, freshly mown grass and generally a very neat, tidy and pleasant spot. Ideally located for the Broads and beaches, with shops, pubs and boatyards all within easy reach. Very clean and well designed toilet disposal point. Entry and exit was ok in our case, but I can see it could be a little awkward, with bushes obscuring the view in the narrow lane, hence the 4 stars instead of five in that category, but it's a minor issue that simply requires some extra care. I would recommend this lovely site.

Great little CL

Spent six days at this lovely CL, clean and tidy. Great location for exploring Norfolk. Plenty of walks , short walk to the local shop garage pub and boat yard. A really great stay and very enjoyable. Would recommend it for a great quiet holiday.

A benchmark for CLs

Visited this CL in June 2019. It represents the best in CLs Moderate size but with plenty of space for 5 vans - fenced lawned field which is kept short - very well sheltered by trees and hedges - well placed electric points - easy and clean waste disposal - pleasant rural view of fields and village church - very quiet and peaceful. Extremely well maintained site with friendly but unobtrusive owners. Situated within easy reach of Hickling broad, of Stalham and of the coast. Good cycling country around and plenty of access to the Broads. At £12 per night in 2019 this is a really excellent CL

lovely site

we have just spent our family holiday at this site and must say what a great time we had plenty of space kids loved the tennis courts while we got tea ready just a short walk and there is a pub and boat yard the only problem i could say is it's on a single country road which does have a few cars travelling on it from time to time so getting in and out with your caravan can be a bit worrying. but all in all it is in a perfect location to visit the surrounding area of Norfolk.

A short quiet break

This was only a short break both time and distance wise, living just over the border in Suffolk but needing to get away for a couple of days. We stayed 3 nights, frankly in the motorhome which is 7.2mtrs long we didn't have a problem entering the site but leaving is a little more tricky as bushes obscure safe vision both ways into the quiet lane, this is a reason for care not one for not staying at this site. It is clean, the grass is well cared for and the owners are very helpful/friendly without being intrusive in any way. We walked from the site a couple of times but frankly one needs to drive to get the best, with Sea Palling, Happisburgh and many other places with super beaches a short drive away and Hickling Broad with The Pleasure Boat Inn similarly just a short distance. The Pleasure Boat Inn is in an idyllic position on the Broads and well worth visiting for refreshment and a pleasant walk on a sunny day, the food there is 'adequate', a lunchtime bar snack probably the best option. So yes we will be visiting Bush Farm again, thank you Mrs Nicholls for a very pleasant visit.
