perfect site for the ferry

We found this site ideal for spending a couple of days prior to catching the ferry.  I know the sound of the A20 was mentioned but honestly you would have to be an incredibly light sleeper to be disturbed by it!  We walked to the Battle of Britain memorial which was interesting and you can catch the bus to Folkestone or Dover from there.    All in all a very pleasant stay.

Close to Dover

I used this in March as i was going out of Dover, the site was easy to locate but some of the roads in a large unit were tight, the pitches were grass and flat with hook up and water but i am a light sleeper and i had a poor nights sleep as the A20 main route to the port is about 250 mts away and the lorries do not stop running all night long, the welcome i received was very good and helpful

Very Helpful & Accommodating

We recently booked a late arrival/ferry pitch at this site, and were very impressed with our first CL experience. We weren't using the ferry, but were travelling 3 hours with a young baby, and found it best to leave home at 'bedtime'! This wasn't a problem, and even when we were delayed a further hour, they were very understanding. We were rear-on to a barn in the yard at the front, with another set-up parked across the way doing a similar thing (no need to unhitch either, which was a bonus for us!). A tap and hook-up was provided for these positions. We were off in fairly good time in the morning, so didn't get a chance to have a proper look at the main site, but for what we wanted it proved a great choice, and from what we could see it looked a lovely place.

Nice for a night

We stayed here for one night before a 0730 ferry. We found the site ok, were shown to a pitch that seemed to be for one nighters/early leavers and was not part of the CL field. It was neatly mown grass, with tap and electric and quite sufficient. We paid £10 for the night (two adults, two children) in early August so seemed ok.

unhelpful

We have used this site before but the owners have turned very unhelpful to the point of refusing to acknowledge any email bookings /confirmations tried two emails and both ignored. We ended up booking another C L who did answer the email. shame nice location

motor home

A very nice campsite the owners were very friendly and made us feel most welcome. The campsite is very clean and we will be visiting again , highly recommended thank you .
