Bank Holiday Stop - Last Minute Getaway

With only living 35 miles away on Louth, fancied a local stopover with the dog for Bank Holiday. Arrived on site at 7pm to find one member on site with similar set up to us, owner soon came out to help us with our choice of pitch. chose one in shade near owners garage/information hut. Due to recent wet weather kept car off road and used motor mover. Quick visit into Saxibly - under 2 miles away for supplies from local coop. Then a dog walk along river and a quick pint in the Sun Inn, who are dog friendly. That evening upon arrival back with takeaway food and dog wanting its tea, we settled in to the sound of birdsong till dusk. This is such a lovely setting (owners front garden) that is well maintained. The paddock area set in 2 acres then leads to the river Tilling which is a pleasant walk with your dog. We took a trip to the Burton Waters complex en-route to the Pyewipe inn, if your into some cafe culture by the quayside this is the place to be, they have a pub and restaurant on site too, free parking compliments the visit. The Pyewipe Inn is off route and about a 3 mile walk to the brayford area of Lincoln, where you could always get the river cruiser boat back to the pyewipe inn. Pleasant, stunning location, quite unassuming, we will be back for some more shorter stays this year. Thanks John And Yvonne
