What a find.......
Not often one gets to stay in a landowner's front garden, but at Carrier's Farm that's exactly what happens. We thought 'This can't be right, there's only a drive, we can't see the house.' We proceeded further and were met by the very friendly owners who made us very welcome. The main reason for our break was the Lincoln Steam Fair in August, it was quite warm weather but thanks to the trees surrounding the large, lawned site, it was extremely pleasant. The trees provide a home for at least two species of owls, lovely to hear at night.
The site is very quiet, being set well back from the road, but it has easy access. Lincoln, Newark and Gainsborough are all within easy reach, as is Lincoln Show ground. There is a pleasant walk from the site to the river, with fishing, if that appeals.
Hope to return soon.
