Everything about this CL proved just what we hoped for, and we are already talking about returning! Quick response to a phone call message enquiring about staying, we found it very easily, and it’s tucked away in a lovely rural location, yet easy to reach from nearby main routes. Good access, with a security gate operated by a push button code, the CL area is off right from the main house and further gated van storage area. Plenty of room for 5 outfits with choice of grass or hardstanding pitches, it all depends on length of your hook up cable, but there are plenty to borrow if required. No pitch bollards, all hook ups are located on one board at rear of barn, but a couple of cables will reach all areas. Nice open area, sheltered by hedges. Fresh water and waste water taps by entrance, CDP point opposite area, easy to use. (Note for MH owners, pitch by gate would reach fill up tap easily with hosepipe) The CL’s description tells you lots about the area, places of interest nearby, and some of the lovely walks/cycle rides from the Site. We found it really good for cycling, roads not too busy, and great off road links along Grantham Canal, old railway tracks, the Viking Way, so good for walking as well. Exploring some of the small nearby villages by bike is rewarding, very pretty, nice churches and old buildings. Pub looked very nice, great Canal side location. Grantham with all amenities is around 10 minutes drive. We found the Site very quiet and relaxing, lots of interesting bird life all around. The odd visitor pops in to the storage area, but this doesn’t impact at all on the CL. The owners were away on our visit, but a lovely friendly couple doing Warden duties were around for any help and advice needed, and keep an eye on everything. Dogs are very welcome, it’s a good doggy site with extensive footpath walks 200 metres from Site, or 400 metres for the canal path. Overall, this is a very, very nice CL. No fuss, a good welcome, helpful people around if needed, peace and quiet and a lovely location are our abiding impressions. Great for exploring this very interesting part of England. Recommend visits to Easton Walled Gardens (HHA), Belvoir Castle Estate (HHA), Woolsthorpe Manor (NT), Grantham Canal. We hope to revisit again, before too long. Very good value for money.
