A charming hideaway

We stayed here for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet. Lovely walks and beautiful dark skies. An excellent site.

Lovely quiet CL

I stayed at this CL in my large motorhome. Access is easy from the A487 and the lane to the site is wide with generous turns onto the site. Pitches are big and made of gravel so there is never a problem despite the very heavy rain while I was there! Each pitch has an EHU. Lots of beautiful coastline to see and plenty of places to visit when COVID is over. The water and waste facilities are well kept and clean; and the grass areas are kept trimmed.

Excellent. Enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at the CL in our touring caravan and is all we can say is WOW! Mark and Philippa are lovely people with a wealth of knowledge of the local area, lots of recommendations for places to visit from beaches, coastal walks and Waterfalls. They have a lovely collection of animals - Alpacas, Ponies, Donkeys, sheep, goats, ducks and hens. You can buy fresh eggs from here aswell. They also let holiday cottages which are lovely. There is also a self catering BBQ hut for rent which needs to be seen to appreciate how cool this is! Great for cosy nights eating some great food with friends and this can be hired even if your in your caravan/motorhome. Local fuel station that has a bakery with a wide selection of groceries including veg, meat, beer and wine. This also has a post office which is about 1mile heading towards Cardigan on the A487. There is also a Tesco, Aldi and B&M Bargains about 8miles away. Phone signal is great on 02 and EE full 4g signal - No issues watching Netflix for example. TV receptions great! If you have a Safefill bottle or a motorhome with a refillable lpg system. I can highly recommend Dolphin Bay Caravan Park, New Quay SA459TY. Peter will fill it for you. Lovely bloke! Approx 12 miles away. For the CL the pitches are Hardstanding with EHU which are spacious with lovely views, very peaceful with no road noise. Dog friendly. The fresh water and waste facilities are well kept and clean. The hard standing pitches are surrounded by lovely, well maintained grass. There is a large field which Mark and Philippa may let you use for dog walks - Please ask. We will be back again without a doubt!

Utopia

I threatened Phillipa and Mark that I wouldn't do a review that would encourage others to visit this site as it might create a problem with me booking in future due to demand but in fairness due to the work that they have put into this site it is only right that I allow others to hopefully have as wonderful experience as we have. Mark and Phillipa have only been here just over 12 months and having read the previous reviews and now experienced it ourselves I have to say what a delightful, committed couple for which nothing seems too much trouble. The site is meticulously maintained with large flat pitches and a spotlessly service area. When we arrived we were greeted by Phillipa who gave us a brief tour of the site and told us where to obtain essential groceries. When we met with Phillipa and Mark, later during our stay, we were given the grand tour. These people just love what they do. They are totally committed to their farm, their animals and their customers. The animals are pets and part of the family. If you get the opportunity you must walk the site and the farmyard and meet the "extended family" :)) I have only ever written such a glowing review once previously and that related to an Overseas Club site in Germany. I cannot speak highly enough about this site its owners and the locality are absolutely wonderful. I agree wholeheartedly with a previous reviewer who suggested that this could be a serious contender for CL of the year. I really hope Mark and Phillipa achieve it for their hard work. We will definately be back- on a regular basis. Thank you both for making our short stay so memorable

Pitch perfect

We stayed here from 02/08/20 for 14 nights, arrived on a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon to be greeted with fabulous views as we came down the driveway, that’s 1 ✔️. Mark was cutting the grass and stopped to talk to us and give us all the information about where everywhere was. Had a lovely chat and a good laugh with him. The pitches are enormous and whichever way you placed your unit you would have a wonderful view. The facilities are kept immaculate, as is the grass. Met Philippa later, she was just as welcoming as Mark, these two have to be the friendliest owners we have ever met in 20 odd years of caravanning. The site is situated in a perfect location, close enough to the main road for going out and about but far enough away not to get any road noise. A perfect location to get away from it all and relax. They gave us a tour of their smallholding, we met and fed all the animals. And Red kites often flew overhead. Nothing was to much trouble for Mark and Philippa, even though they have only been the owners for just over a year, they have a wonderful way of making you feel very welcome. I have a feeling that in the future this will be a site that is fully booked all the time! We would definitely return. Wonderful views and welcoming hosts, what more could you ask for.

Excellent CL

Philippa and mark made us most welcome at their cl. Philippa took the time out of her busy schedule to show my granddaughter her alpacas, horses, goats, donkeys and chickens. Even let her lead basil the alpaca out to his field which made Leah’s day. Site is very peaceful, able to pitch how you like in large hardstanding pitches, clean waste and water facilities. Will definitely be coming back.

Birthday Break

We have recently spent a couple of nights on this lovely site. We were welcomed by Philippa and Mark with a very friendly greeting and a good chat. The site is extremely tidy and well set out and just what we expect from a CL. Pity they do not all come up to this high standard. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay look forward to a return visit at some stage. A definite contender for CL site of the year! In our opinion.

Wonderful CL Site

If you are in to CL sites this is a great place to visit. Easy access to stunning beaches and spectacular castles and NT buildings. Mark and Philippa are very welcoming owners. The facilities on the site are as you would expect - water - waste - immaculately clean. Comes with your own personal Buzzard and loads of wildlife. Stayed for 12 nights and enjoyed every minute - would definitely go back again.

Cefnllaethdre, another relaxing stay

Again a wonderful stay, a well kept site with easy access. The water and waste point is easy to use and kept clean and tidy. The farm lane is great for walking the dog, but when there are no sheep you can use the fields. It was lovely to watch the Llamas, Goats, Donkey and Lambs playing. Road traffic can be heard in the distance, but we didn't think it affected our stay. The small seaside town of Aberporth and Tresaith are close, and New Quay, a sort drive away has boat trips for dolphin watch. About 5 mins drive away towards Cardigan is a lovely new chip shop called Tatw Eirw, One annoying thing that the owner have tried to have rectified but with no joy from CMC is the price is, and has been for a few years is £12, but for some reason CMC have yet to change it.
