Great CL

The entrance is directly off the A5 up an incline. Although it is quite narrow it is not a problem if you take it steady. We were unsure if we were on the right field as there were no other outfits and we could see a motorcaravan elsewhere. We got out to explore but it was then clear that we were in the right place. How difficult it is to choose a spot on an empty CL where there are amazing views in all directions! Photographs don't do it justice. We thought we could just park anywhere with access to a mains point but then saw that there were numbered wooden pitch markers. There is plenty of space between pitches to face your outfit in any direction you want. We did not see the owners immediately but this was no surprise as it is also a working farm. As others have said, this is a fairly level site given that it is on a hill and it is very peaceful. The nearest convenience store and hotel/pub/restaurant are at least a couple of miles away but we did not use either. We visited many places during our stay. Mileage may be low but allow longer for journeys along twisting roads. The one Welsh word we came to know was "ARAF" painted on most roads and meaning "slow". One day, we had torrential rain and winds so strong that we had to take out awning down. The owners kindly offered to let us use one of their barns to dry it out so that we didn't have to take a sodden awning home. In summary, this was an ideal CL for our visit to North Wales. The owners are planning to have a chemical disposal point near to the field and a place where they can put tourist information. We would definitely recommend to others
