Ease of arrival/welcome

Green grass, tall trees, warm welcome, pleasant pub.

Within a reasonably sized field, there's plenty of space to set up and settle down, and to feel as though you're away from it all. The facilities are basic but sufficient (though it would be nice if the shower did more than drizzle), and there's been an effort to make it welcoming with books and guides to things in the locality. It's got the feel of what it is - an extension to a farmhouse (cottage, rather), with that "farm feel" to it. The couple who run it are very kind and friendly, and clearly are concerned more with quality of life than with quality of concrete. Local village is pleasant, and pub can be very enjoyable - depends on what's on. Great for access to the coast and such as the Eden Project, which seems to be just down the road. (Read the owners' notes - and do NOT blindly sat-nav !!!)
