Good fishing site

We had a Saturday overnight stay while my husband fished and I took the grandchildren to Chester Zoo. Initially I requested the CL site and was a bit shocked about the price of £25 per night but as this included fishing and this is what we wanted thought it was ok. There were no other fees for awning and we were allowed to arrive at 10.00 am and stayed until 5pm on the Sunday and so thought this very reasonable. I was told over the telephone when booking about the Marquee with a bar and karaoke on the Saturday evening and was very pleased that we were not closer as it was noisy - sound travels far in the countryside but finished at a reasonable time and didn't keep the grandchildren awake. There is a large Car Boot on each Sunday. The CL site is just for CL members with level pitches, 1 toilet block with 1 toilet, sink and token meter shower. There are several lakes on site and lots of camping some with electric hook ups - lots were camping around the lakes. There is also the availability to hire fire pits and wood. There is a Café on site and a childrens play area along with the marquee with bar, food and entertainment with toilet facilities dotted around the site. There is a one way system around the site and lots to do in the area to include Chester Zoo and Cheshire Oaks for a bit of retail therapy. All in all a very pleasant stay and we would return but would prefer it if we could bring the dog. Please note this is a No Dog park - but this didn't stop the caravan next to us bringing theirs!
