Thanks very much to Ted & Jackie for a wonderful stay. Very easy booking via the website, straightforward access using codes provided, well presented pitch with stunning views. Plenty of walks from the site; we did a walk to Christmas Common, lovely pub, and back. We will definitely be returning.
lovely site
We spent 4 nights, 17th to 22nd of February, lovely site, road a bit bumpy, but take it easy. the Red Kites are amazing, so too are the peacocks. We will return in the summer.
Thanks Ted& Jackie.

One of the Best views on the CL network
Another totally relaxing stay at this glorious site that was awarded CL of the year in 2023.
Fabulous views of the Chiltern Hills watching red kites soaring and deer roaming across the fields.
Five minute walk to The Fox Inn or slightly further to Turville, filming location for the Vicar of Dibley and numerous other films and TV programmes.
Five hard standing fully serviced pitches, fast WiFi and easy access from the M40 just a few miles away.
Lots to do in the area with easy access to Marlow, Henley on Thames and the beautiful Chiltern villages and just a bit further to Windsor, Oxford or hop on a train to London from High Wycombe.
We loved it
If you want peace and quiet, then The Cholsey Grange CL ticks all the boxes. It has good-sized pitches, is fully serviced, and has fantastic views over the valley. We will be back for a nice few days in the Spring, bring our pooch and enjoy some great walks. Thanks, Ted and family and Merry Christmas.
Congratulations!
A well deserved award. Visited in October and 5 star from booking to departure. Every detail well thought out and delivered. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings - walks on site and in surrounding area stunning and well described. Red kites in abundance overhead and deer passed right behind caravan.
So many places of interest in the area - we will hopefully return.
Thank you
OK
This site is in a good location with interesting places to visit. It has good views and each pitch is fully serviced with EHU, water supply and grey water drainage.
There is a long walk / haul to the CDP but wheel barrows are provided.
It is a shame that the owners have chosen to use the cheaper road planings for the hardstanding pitches as this material dusts badly. We had some heavy rain whilst there and the combination of rain and dust marked our awning quite badly. We also had an infestation of woodlice and centipedes from the grass and timber retainers behind the pitch.
We were frustrated by the relentless reminders to vote for your CL of the year.
Considering that there are no facilities we feel that it is overpriced at £25 per night.

Tranquility
How lucky we were to discover this wonderful site whilst searching the Caravan and Motorhome map. The only sad part was only being able to stay one night and not enjoy more of the beautiful scenery and walks. Lovely big pitches. Access a bit tight for our 8.2m motorhome but manageable if taken slowly.
We will definitely be back and for longer next time. Thank you Ted for a wonderful stay.
Unlikely to return.............
Sadly we are unlikely to return to this fabulous site. I just wish it as 20 miles down the road from us instead of 200. Then I think I would be here every weekend. The site is everything others have said. Beautiful views, friendly owners, red kites - so many we became blase about them - deer, same as the kites.
The pitches, all hardstanding are at the end of a bumpy (take it slow like the man says) track, they are huge and face the valley - would love to see the autumn colours bathed in sunshine.
All pitches are fully serviced meaning that the absence of a WC and shower block is not noticeable. The nice touch of a wheelbarrow to transport your WC cassette up the hill to the CDP (so you don't lose a wheel off the non too robust cassette).
If you like walking long or short distances you could stay a week and never move your car. The footpath and bridleway network is amazing and all are well signposted and clear paths. Through fields, kites soaring overhead and woodlands where you will just be unlucky or too noisy not to see deer.
Venison available from the farm and there is a local farm shop which sells milk from their guernsey herd as well as local cheese and vegetables. We have yet to darken the doors of a supermarket.
Well, maybe, just maybe, I can persuade the other half to return in late autumn, the additional electric cost would be worth it :-)
Now, off to enjoy our second week at this fabulous site.
First visit……will be back
Ok so the lane is a little rough, so take it slowly….round to the corner to the site and WOW ! Great welcome from Ted, he enthused about what we could do whilst staying just to make sure we had everything we needed. Superb pitch facing across the valley and so peaceful. Level pitches which drain well ( yes it rained ). Lovely to see the horses and the red kites even if they did leave until the departure day before flying around us. I’m not a great walker, but it’s obvious that there is wonderful countryside to explore on foot…….mapped routes are provided . Thank you Ted……we will be back some day.
Spot on site.
I have been to Jackie and Ted’s site six times.
Fabulous site with horses, red kites, deer and the great owners. Pub down the road lots of tv/film location sites near by. Please leave room for me.
