A quiet site with nice views across the Deben valley .. the camping area is fenced of so the Geese that have free run of the farm don't come around your caravans .. they are really well behaved Geese and our dogs just ignored them .. The EP were well maintained and each pitch had it's own water tap .. There is a multitude of footpaths leading from the site .. so walking the dog is a pleasure .. the only downside being the dog waste bins are all on the village green .. they could do with one at least in the village .. maybe by the pub ..
The Chequers pub was a quick stroll from the site and is dog friendly .. dogs got biscuit treats each night we went in .. There are no shops in the village in fact in none of the villages in the immediate vicinity .. So make sure you have what you need to make a cuppa with you
There are waste facilities but they are someway from the site it's self .. so would recommend taking a trolley if your cassette does not have wheels .. there are also recycling facilities.
All in all we spent an enjoyable 3 nights and will definitely being visiting again in the future
Stayed here Aug 2011. What a gem of a site . Water and electric on pitch. Efficient owners. All grass but seemed well drained. Ancient church beside site and numerous footpaths to explore. Setting sun casting a glow over a flock (or is it a gaggle?) of geese making their way home . We thought we were part of the picture on a box of chocolates ! Wonderful memories. In truth the bell ringing was quite interesting and finished early enough.
