Peace and quiet.

Spent 10 nights on pitch 3 on this lovely quiet adult only site, nice welcome and our pitch no shown on the board on arrival. Clean his and her facilities with information and maps of surrounding area. The pitches were fully serviced hardstanding with enough room for an awning. We parked our car in front of the caravan which didn't block the driveway. There are 6 pitches on site and the only problem encountered were the trees towering behind the pitch where pigeons spent most of the day and night pooping on our caravan and awning. There was also a smell from the stables immediately behind the pitch. For this reason, I would choose a different pitch in future, maybe towards the top of the site where the trees were more spaced out. There are many lovely walks from site including a 6 mile circular around Felbrigg NT estate. The surrounding lanes also provide brilliant bike rides. During our stay, we visited Blickling, Sheringham Park, Blakeney, Happisburgh and saw the beautiful seals basking on Horsey beach. Cromer is only a few miles away for provisions with many restaurants and take aways. Take care to follow the Cls route instructions as Sat navs take you through unsuitable narrow lanes.

A short break away

Come off the main road and you go down a country lane passing open countryside with wildlife in abundance, then you arrive at Church Farm Cottages. Follow the signs to the caravan site where you will find ponies in the paddock on one side and sheep in another (all rescued animals). The pitch information on the facilities building shows which pitch has been allocated to you. There is plenty to do in the area, plenty of beaches to discover, nature reserves, houses of interest among the choices. For us it was a pleasant break away and we will return in future.

Another beautiful Stay

We have now had several stays here Ian and Sue are a very friendly, the pitches are of good size plenty of space for caravan, awning and car with fresh water tap waste disposal and tv aerial connection. The toilet and shower block for his and hers are kept very clean and heated. Lovely surrounding's - woodland, flock of sheep in the paddocks, make it all quite tranquil. Highly recommend Tip Book early so not to be disappointed. Looking forward to our next stay soon.

5 stars all round!

Excellent site in every respect. We even had the weather to match! Lovely owner who takes a great deal of pride in his site. Thoroughly recommended. Hope to return another year. Many thanks

A gem of a CL

We spent a week at this beautiful and peaceful CL arriving 19 March '22. The surroundings were lovely and the facilities excellent. The toilet and showers were immaculate and the pitches well maintained. We spent many a lazy morning sat outside on one of the benches drinking coffee in the sunshine, chatting and watching the sheep. Peaceful Bridle path across the road from the site for walking too. Very close to Cromer and Sheringham plus lovely walks through the woods at Felbrigg. Wells-next-the-Sea worth a visit too. Thanks to Ian - a great host. We hope to visit again. Roy & Barbara.

Great in Winter / New Year

We had a great time here over New Year 2021/22. It's a very well organised operation on a good site with high quality facilities, all included in the price. Pre-visit communications were excellent and when we arrived there was a chalk-board showing which pitch we had been allocated. The owner came and chatted next day to see if everything was OK, and gave us good guidance on local things that would be of interest to us (good countryside walks, parks, etc). Much appreciated. The site was peaceful and quiet overnight and it was nice to hear the horses and sheep joining in the 'dawn chorus'. Great to be in the countryside. It was very welcome to be able to go and have a good shower in a heated loo block when we returned from a long days walk. No need for money in the slot to run the shower; it's all included in the price. Even left my walking boots to dry out there overnight. :) The icing on the cake was a very unexpected and spectacular fireworks show on the stroke of midnight on 31st December. It really made our day and was a fabulous start to the New Year. We will be back, I'm sure. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Peaceful weekend

We booked a two-night stay, and have had a wonderful stay, very peaceful, found some lovely dog walks from the site and was nice to have a secure area to let them off on-site. The facilities were very well kept and a bonus. Will be booking another stay soon.

Fab CL

Just spent 2 nights at this lovely little cl. Not one of the largest we’ve stayed at, but what it lacks in size it makes up for with location, facilities, peace and quiet, lovely welcome from the owner, gorgeous sheep for neighbours and just all round loveliness. We’ll be back.

Super Site

We stayed here for 5 nights last week of October 2019. It is a lovely site, with excellent facilities which were spotlessly clean. Ian was helpful but not overly intrusive. He cleans like a woman(!) The showers and toilets were spotless and well equipped. Bins and disposal all very clearly laid out and closeby. Pitches are flat, with one fully serviced. They are small gravel / shingle hardstandings in a sheltered row. There is plenty of room to put up an awning/tarp and put pegs in to the grass boarders separating each pitch. There is the fully serviced pitch right next to the toilet/shower block, with the others in a row opposite. At the very bottom is a slightly more secluded pitch, which may appeal to some seeking privacy. That said - the whole site is private bar the sheep in the next field! There is no hard rules about which way you face etc. Just common sense applied so as not to obstruct others. We ate at the Gunton Arms nearby as well as Boltons Bistro and No1 Cromer. All were excellent. Back to the site: It's fab and I'd find it hard to believe anyone would find fault here - it's a perfect CL in a lovely spot with kind hosts. Thank you Ian for a lovely stay. We would recommend this site to anyone.
