We'll be back!

What a lovely CL. We stayed for 2 nights for a quick getaway, and really loved it! Close to the coast, beautifully maintained and a friendly welcome all add up to this site being a "keeper". Early March isn't everyone's cup of tea for camping, but you do get the place to yourself, on the whole. We loved the silence (all bar the birds and sheep) and watching the sunset and sunrise from our van window. Our border terrier was made welcome, and there is a dedicated exercise area for dogs, but with so many wonderful walks at hand, this is just the icing on the cake. Friendliest chickens ever too!

5 Star Site

This has got to be the cleanest CL on the network - the shower and toilet blocks were spotless and cleaned every day. Lovely peaceful surroundings- really enjoyed the chickens and their contented clucking. The enclosed dog walk is a really good addition- our dogs enjoyed having some free time off lead to do their business.  We are local so didn't need to do lots of sight seeing so made the most of the peace and quiet of the site to just relax.  A really well thought out site that we will definitely be returning to.  Thank you Ian and Lily

Fabulous CL

A fabulous CL! Great pitches all with hardstandings. TV reception was good but no 3G on O2. There is the option of purchasing the wifi but that was expensive (£5 per day or £15 for the week). A separate ladies and gents toilet and shower which was kept spotlessly clean. Information in both and an honesty box for fresh eggs in the ladies. Great walks from the site to Fellbrigg Hall and on to Cromer if you are feeling energetic. Short drive from the coast with Sheringham and Cromer being about 4 miles away. The only downside is we have two dogs and unfortunately one of them went mad for the free range chickens that roamed the site. Our other dog didn't care, but it became a bit of a problem for us. Would highly recommend this site.

Spotless!

This has got to be the cleanest CL we have stayed on, the facilities are first class. Very welcoming and consciousness owners.. The pitches are north facing and are in the shade most of the day, however pitch no.1 does get the sun most of the day and is located next to the toilet/shower cabin. There is a lovely sunny grassed are with picnic tables opposite the pitches. There are several narrow roads approaching the site, however if you use the one recommended by the owners there is no problems as there are many passing places. Would not hesitate to recommend this site.Laughing

Best CL We Have Visited

This has to be the best CL we have stayed at so far. We received a great welcome from Ian who even offered to deliver a daily paper.  The layout has been carefully thought out, all pitches are hard standing and the owners have provided picnic tables and chairs on the "sunny side". The toilet and shower block are exceptionally clean and well maintained and because TV reception can be iffy the owners have provided TV points alongside power points for each pitch. A great find!

Doesn't get much better

Just returned from a two night stay (wanted longer but they were fully booked).  Fantastic CL with excellent facilities.  We really enjoyed the many beautiful walks direct from the site and  particularly liked the walk to Felbrigg Hall.  The owner was extremely friendly and welcoming and we will be booking another stay very soon.  Dogs really enjoyed it too!

Top Class Peaceful CL

This site is a little gem. We spent six nights here earlier this month and we couldn't fault it. The pitches are well marked out and the grass cut regularly. It's very quiet and peaceful. Toilets and showers are excellent. Lots of walks nearby. No pub or shop in the village but it's possible to walk to the pub West Beckham either via road (mostly pavement) or over footpaths in less than an hour. Will certainly be back.

Peaceful site!

Had a lovely stay at this site over the Easter weekend. Although peaceful you may be woken by the dawn chorus of birds in the hedgerows & trees still this didn't spoil our stay was lovely to hear such a variety of songs although we do think our dog snores louder than all the birds just hope she didn't keep anyone awake! also the sheep in the opposite field were such fun to watch kept us amused when they all bounced after the other plying follow my leader. Toilet & shower kept spotlessly clean (cleaned daily) owner very friendly. We will definitely book in again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We stayed at this lovely CL for 6 nights at the beginning of March. The site was easy to find using the excellent instructions provided by the owners. As stated in previous reviews the site is very level and the toilets and showers are very clean. We enjoyed the free range eggs from the farm chickens, and enjoyed watching the birds feed from the feeder on site. TV and mobile phone reception was also very good. The village is nice to walk around, with there are also several walks around the site. I understand there is also the remains of a castle nearby, but we did not have time to investigate this. I happily recommend this site.
