Ease of arrival/welcome

Unfortunately not totally as described on this description.

I know my title doesn’t sound very flattering but I do feel I need to leave an honest review for this location. I spent seven nights here in July. The site was booked for a family as the description and photo’s showed a play area / apparatus that my grandchildren could play on when not out and about. Unfortunately the pictures are quite out of date as the only “play” area available is the largish grassed field and a solitary goal post frame, not the wooden climbing frame as pictured. As has been stated in other reviews, the roads leading to the site are very narrow and passing oncoming traffic whilst towing was sometimes tricky, but saying that it is cornwall after all. Upon arriving at the site from the Ashton direction, you have to make a rather tight turn into the initial entrance. This would not have been such an issue had it not been for the fact that a car had been parked in such a way that made turning very awkward. Finding the owners for information and to pay wasn’t immediately obvious, but not overly difficult either. After our initial arrival, you are required to navigate a quite narrow lane up to the field of pitches. This has a very tight curve with a stone wall to your right and a floral border to the left hiding a wooden fence. Anyone with a large unit would find this troublesome without destroying the border itself. Access then takes you onto the site which is rather more sloping than described. It isn’t impossible to level up, but does require quite a lot in the way of blocks for the corner steadies. The grassed pitches are well kept and spacious. When pitched, you are treated to an absolutely stunning view with St Michael's Mount visible in the distance. The EHU connection is 10 amp, and is quite easily tripped, even using a low wattage kettle and toaster. Also in the description, extra persons are now charged at £2 pppn, and although the WIFI is visible on devices, trying to actually use it once connected was impossible even with equipment that bill boost a signal strength. The information for the laundry facilities was non existent but as we have a portable washing machine, was no bother. It would just have been nice to have had the information on arrival. The adjacent field for exercising dogs is fantastic with plenty of space for your dogs to run freely as the hedgerow around the perimeter is discretely fenced. All in all, this is is a really lovely site to explore the area from, but I feel the description on the CMHC site needs updating to reflect certain changes.
