Anyone looking for an exellent adult only CL near Truro - then Chygwyne Farm (P309/213) is definately the place to head for. No long narrow lanes to negotiate, Ghygwyne Farm is just off the A39 and, has easy access through a good wide entrance. A short hard road leads to the well signed gate, and continues into the site itself.
We stayed here for 9 nights during May 2018. As soon as we entered, we were immediately impressed. It was easily obvious, that this CL had been well planned and cared for. Each pitch, is a very large all weather hard standing, with as mall adjacent grass lawn. The tap - waste disposal, and modern chemical emptying point, is screened off, in a far neat corner.
The owners ; Tony & Carla Harris, are extremely helpful, very friendly and, have worked thoughtfully and tirelessly, to create this ongoing pleasant retreat for their CMC guests.
There is filling station on the main road island nearby, next to the bus stop - Truro > Falmouth, and, a small general stores, just around the corner from there. Also nearby, are the National Trust Tintinhull Gardens and the the King Harry Ferry across to St.Mawes.
Look it up and give it try, you should not be dissapointed.

Fab site nothing to fault
Just spent 6 days at this gem of a site. Tony and Carla are very friendly and exceptionally helpful with regard to local cycling routes and water sports. The miners trail at Bissoe was lovely and Loe beach was great for water sports. It is very centrally based and easy to get to although don't follow the sat nav use the directions given as otherwise you will miss the site. Although it is close to a main road we didn't notice the road noise. It is set in a very spacious field and you are not on top of each other. There is a gate to enter the field which I like as it makes us feel like we are shutting the door on the world and entering our own little world. The water, grey water and Elsan are all nicely placed with lovely shrubs around it. Pleased that they do not provide a piece of hose for the water as we like to use our own for cleanliness. It was lovely watching the ponies. You will not be disappointed with this site.

Nice site
A warm welcome on arrival to this site by the very chatty and friendly Carla. Lovely to see the ponies.
To be objective there were some downsides. Having spent ten nights there slight road noise was an issue from the main road and the lane alongside the site used as a race track and could be very noisy with bleeping horns etc. The main road is faint but always present in the background.
My other bug bear I have about sites that provide a water tap, but not the 50 pence of hose to fill the barrel from the tap. A simple thing that makes life easier for all. 3/4" tap fitting
The recycle bin was often full and not emptied that often.
The last annoying point before I get onto the many benefits. Just a pointless irritating gate to the field that served no purpose other than to be there to open and close it every time you go in and out. Ten days represented alot of opening and closing often in the rain. Why?
The location was very good and easy to access. Close to Truro and being on the main road access to many parts of Cornwall with ease. Petrol station across the road and an excellent Spar supermarket/PO in the village a short distance away. Great pub /food down the road on road to King Harry ferry.
Largely flat site that slopes very slightly to lane. Power sockets good condition and Elsan well constructed, though in open.
Never tried the bus service from the gate, but another fellow caravanner was not to complimentary of First buses of a trip to Falmouth.
Overall good site though could improve with small changes.

Our first visit to this cl
This was the first time we had stayed on this cl and it certainly wont be the last. We had a warm friendy welcome from Carla the owner, the grass is short there is recycling on site.Very clean and tidy.Very handy for Truro or Falmouth we booked for 7 nights but stayed 10.We were there when storm Kate decided to pay us a visitso the weather was not so good.Looking forward to paying another visit latter in the year.
First time at this site
Superb site, spotlessly clean, warm welcome, close to shop and bus stop, in short this must rate as the best CL site of the many we have visited. Easy access and very convenient location.
We had a super stay and will definitely be going back.
third stay at this CL
Just returned from our third time staying at this very good CL. Carla and Tony are always welcoming, and happy to help if needed. Nice view from caravan, bus stop, local shops and cycle route within few minutes walk. Can just leave car at site and go out for days. We shall be going back again before too long. -Pam and Peter

My self and my husband have just spent a week on
Chygwyne farm cannon down just out side Truro.
Carla and her husband Tony are the perfect hosts there if needed but not in you face. their own free range eggs, There is a handy shop just 3/4 mins walk away, Golf course close by, A night off from cooking as the fish and chip van stops out side the shop on a Wednesday evening. fab bus service to Truro or Falmouth which runs quite late so can have a night in town. This is a great spot for a one night stop over or like us ending up staying a week. and we will definitly be going back

Visit 13th to 16th August 2013
This is a beautifully prepared and maintained relatively new CL. It is very easily accessed, with the entrance less than the 50 yds mentioned on their CC page from the roundabout on the main road. In the adjacent field was a beautiful young horse, Blake and dog mabel, who together with the proprietors made us feel very welcome. Being fairly flat, it was easy to set ourselves up and we were soon very much at home
Among other activities we enjoyed a walk to the Quay Inn at Devoran. This pub has a broad menu, but some might call it costly. We enjoyed our rest there, before making our way back - 3.5 to 4 miles each way - via the lane and cycleway.
Friendly Welcome
We have just returned from an eight day stay on this wonderful CL. The owners ,Tony and Clara, were friendly and helpful with a great sense of humour ,grass was kept short and the facilities were tidy and clean. Buses to Truro and Falmouth were just a short walk away and very frequent. With plenty of space for 5 units this is an ideal spot for touring Cornwall...we will be back summer and winter...June and Patrick plus Holly our dog.
