A fantastic week - the views are outstanding - and surrounded by stunning beaches and historic towns

Wow, what a view - Snowdonia right the way around to New Quay! We had the most amazing week! There’s so much to do and see within the local vicinity. The most stunning beaches and coves, cliff top walks, and historic towns full of independent shops. Swimming pool just minutes drive away as well as a brilliant (and cheap) soft play and cafe again minutes away.

What a view!

We didn’t realise there was no EHU when we booked this in a bit of haste but decided to stay for one night and ended up staying for two! Access is good although we missed the turn in on our first drive by, you then go through two gates into a field of sheep and the view just hits you! This site was used historically as an armament site and we pitched up on a hard standing previously used by gunners. Our nearest neighbours were 20m+ away either side it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The water is one one side of the field and the Elsan is in the bottom corner through a gate, basic but functional. The owner is very welcoming and friendly and is knowledgeable about the area and we were privileged to meet a newborn calf in the next field with John and his dogs. There is access to the coastal paths from the site which unfortunately we were unable to ake advantage of on this visit. This was our first time off-grid and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, so peaceful and the views outstanding (weather permitting!) Would we return here? Most certainly yes!

Superb

What a beautiful spot, definitely our favourite CL. The site is so peaceful, no road noise just the sound of the birds and the views are outstanding with spectacular sun sets. As another reviewer said if you like wild camping you will love this site. The basic facilities are well maintained. John, the site owner, is very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. We will certainly be back!

Happy

What a lovely place. We were looking all the time to the sea. And walked part of the costal path towards the charming village Aberaeron. The owner passes by twice a day and is very helpfull. Where to leave waste and black and grey water is well organised and explained. Picking blackberries at the edge of the field and making jam made us even more happy..

Feels like wild camping

If you like wild camping you will love this site. Very basic (does have water and Elsan, no EHU), large field with amazing views out to sea and up the Welsh coast. You can walk the coastal path into Aberaeron, it takes about 40mins and is up and down but it’s a lovely route and Aberaeron is a lovely place to visit. You can also walk the other way into New Quay but we only stayed 1 night so didn’t have time. The owner popped round late afternoon to say hello and collect fees, was very friendly and suggested places to visit.

Beautiful and tranquil - we loved it!

We came for four nights and stayed for two weeks. The most beautiful setting, the sunsets across the water and the view of the entire bay are incredible. So much space, so calm. The owner is a font of local knowledge, through which we discovered many little beaches and places to explore. It is the most wonderful site, and the town of Aberaeron, just down the hill, is lovely. Thank you for an amazing holiday.

Great site with sea views

A very welcoming, quiet site, with fresh water, plenty of space, toilet emptying facilities, and hard standing if you need it. John came round daily and is a fount of information about the local area, and we enjoyed many chats with him and his farm collies. A short walk downhill brings you to the coast path, with Aberaeron easily accessible with its many shops. A great site for motorhomes and caravans!

Beautiful Sunsets

We stayed 3 nights in April, Easy to park up with an uninterrupted view out to the sea. Basic facilities but just idyllic.Easy walk into Aberaeron which has some good pubs and food. Loved the Sunday lunch at the Prince of Wales. We will be going back.

A taste of wild campervanning

A great site to give you a taste of wild campervanning. It's a simple site, a 9 acre unmown field which you share with the free roaming but v friendly sheep, with views over the coast to die for. Plenty of space for everyone & access directly to the coast path. If you want all the luxuries of hook ups and loo's it probably isn't for you, but if you want an experience of putting you solar panel to good use and being off grid this is just the ticket.
