Good place

Only stayed one night as a last minute stopover as so close to M5. Will definitely return as a lovely site. Flat pitches, grass had recently been cut but could do with being kept shorter as it was wet on our visit so cuttings got everywhere. Road noise is intrusive as it must be a short cut from to somewhere ? Nice large field with gated tarmac access. Lovely pub, white horse inn, with good gluten free food 5 mins away in car.

Ideal overnight stop or for longer stays

We used this site for an overnight stop on our way to Cornwall but would also be good for a longer visit to the Somerset Levels, Cheddar etc. Its only a short drive from the M5 and, as others have said, it has a wide and easy entrance. We had the site to ourselves on our stay and didn't find the traffic noise obtrusive although its true there is some. If you're in the area we would recommend it and we would definitely stay again.

Nice site but road noise a real negative.

Just returned from a 5 day break at this site. First impression when arriving was the very good entrance that meant you did not have to park on the road. The grass was long during our stay and was well overdue a cut. All the pitches are on hardstandings which although a bit tired were ok. Electrics worked fine and water and toilet disposal point were handy. Unfortunately the dog walk field had been ploughed up so not ideal as this was one of the reasons we booked this site. There are walks available if you want to risk walking down the road to get access but as the road is very busy we did not attempt this. Road noise on this site is a bit of a negative so if you want peace and quiet look elsewhere. Very flat site and drained well during our stay. Lots of places to visit within a short distance.

Busy Road

The owners of this site make you very welcome and the site is located within easy reach of lots of places of interest. Although a large site, all of the hard-standings are located together on one side of the field. When we arrived the grass was long and was not cut during the duration of our stay, although the weather did not lend itself to mowing, but as we had just had a long spell of dry weather we found this surprising. However the road was the main issue, the site is described as peaceful, but the road is used as a cut through from the M5/A38 junction and has constant traffic which impacts the entire site. This is especially noticeable if you are on the first pitch nearest the facilities, as we were. The road noise is unfortunate, as the site itself is very nice but I would not describe it as tranquil.

Spacious site

Booked this site for the off lead dog field. Nice spacious site. The dog field was good until it was ploughed up after three days into our holiday. Grass around the pitches was very long as was the area for walking the dog after the field had been ploughed. Someone had left dog poo on the pitch next to ours. Reasonably close to amenities. Would return if dog field was operational.

Gem of a site

Stayed here for 4 nights, met by Lisa who is friendly and very helpful on local area. There is a large entrance to site allowing safety off the road whilst entering the site. The site is flat and well maintained grass with 5 hardstanding pitches. Glastonbury, Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole and beaches of Weston- super -mare and Burnham on sea all within easy reach. Dog loved the site as there is an adjacent field which the owners are happy to be used . This is also a wildlife enthusiasts dream as deer often visit (we were lucky enough to have one visit whilst we were there) along with foxes and a variety of butterflies.Have booked again for September.

A little Somerset gem

What a little gem this site is! We were greeted on arrival by Lisa with fresh farm eggs and a warm welcome. This is a great level, well drained site with hard standing for all cl caravans if required. It also boasts an entrance large enough to pull you car and caravan off the road before opening the gate. We will definitely be returning on a regular basis when visiting our son who lives in the area. We are a retired couple who enjoy quiet countryside sites and feel that anyone similar would feel very at home on this CL.

First Class Site

Stayed here for 5 days mid July. It was the perfect CL Site for us. The entrance to the field had easy access with enough room to pull off the road before opening the gate. The 5 pitches were set spaciously on a well maintained field. Water and waste disposal had easy access. Lisa, the owner, introduced herself after we had pitched up and gave us the info on the site and location along with half a dozen of their own free range eggs, nice touch. We towed a car with our motorhome so for us the location was perfect, being able to see all the local sites. The nearest supermarket is about 10 minutes away by car. I would say that it is a little remote if you are relying on a bike or walking. We had an absolutely wonderful week stay, weather was perfect and we managed to see all the sites because of its location. We will definitely be back and recommend to all. Thank you Lisa and Nigel.

Stunning site . Shame we didn’t have longer to stay .

After driving away with no place to stay the night we searched club directory and found this cl just 4 miles away from the horror of the site we refused to stay on. Warm welcome. Hard standing Hook ups Spotless Dogs allowed off lead . Fabulous hostess . I’d recommend this site to anybody who likes smart and clean . No showers no loo right on the road side but the lovely site makes up for it hands down .

Fantastic CL Site !

We stayed here over the early May bank holiday and there were only 3 vans on the site , and the field is huge !.... Owner met us on arrival and explained where everything was and gave us free eggs as well ,very nice lady made us feel so welcome . The site itself is basic but has everything you need except you will need your own loo and shower , not a problem at all to be honest . Nice cut grass field with hard standing and the dogs loved it as well . The entrance to the site is ideal with a tarmaced drive-in so you can easily and safely pull off the road whilst opening the gate . Outstanding CL site , thank you .
