Not As Good as Reviewed!

Whilst I have to agree that the site is peaceful and in a nice setting, I'm afraid that there were some negatives that we didn't like. We arrived and didn't see the owner in 4 days and then only when we went to pay, so we just parked up where we thought that it was OK.. The field has a decent flat area at the bottom of quite a hill. To get water, use waste disposal and the toilet, you have to walk up the hill about 75 metres which doesn't sound much but if you run out of water in the rain, it's a pain. Someone said that the shower and toilet were good. No they aren't! The shower (at a cost of 50p!) would either give you scalding hot or freezing cold water and the actual 'room' that it is in is very cold. On top of this, there is no wi-fi and pretty bad telephone signal. In the light of having 4 other CLs within a mile along the same road, all of which we checked out and which were flat, had wi-fi and decent ablutions, I think that Compton Hall need to look at upgrading their facilities.
