Lovely quiet site

Lovely quiet site surrounded by trees, 2 hard standings but not suited to modern long caravans, plenty of walks, with the Severn valley railway close by the only negative was the owner describes as T.V. fair, even with our double length aerial pole the picture was freezing and breaking up all the time, the only way you might get a decent signal could be with a dish, so sorry Mr & Mrs Gould the t.v. signal is poor

We will be back

This site is surrounded by trees and offer a lovely setting in which to stay. We tow a twin axle Swift Conqueror with a 4x4 and had no issues entering or leaving the site. The owner and his assistant could not have been more helpful in every respect. The fresh water and waste facilities are second to none. We will certainly return if we are in this area of the country.

Lovely, simple, peace.

This is a really lovely tranquil place with nothing to do other than sit by the van and enjoy a cold drink. The camping area is surrounded by trees and there is a slope leading down from the access road. The owner very helpfully offered to tow me and the van out with his 4x4 if it got wet and we started spinning but we got back up the slope okay. We only stayed one night as we were passing through, I got the impression that EHU is not usually available but he did let me hook up for a very reasonable fee. I offered 4 stars for ease of arrival as if you are entering the site from the local town, the access road runs along side the main road so it is quite a tight 180 degree turn in which I wasnt able to make in one go as my tow vehicle is LWB and the van is long. This wasnt really an issue at all as just past the entrance there is a spacious area you can reverse into and turn around and enter from the opposite direction. Once you are on the acces road past the entrance the hedges are growing out so its a squeeze all the way in. I had to pull a few twigs out of the window edges. Again, not a serious issue for me but if you have a brand new vehicle be aware the greenery will brush the sides if it hasnt been trimmed. The owner gave us a lovely warm welcome and seemed to be a lovely chap. We will definately be visiting again as long as we dont have the kids with us as they would maybe get bored quickly.
