Walked along the cycle path to Carnforth took about 40 mins depending on how quick or slow you walk, cycle path 5mins from site. Caught no. 49 bus from Carnforth to Hesk Bank very nice bus driver who told to get off at Peacock Lane where we could cross the level crossing to the beach front and then if we felt fit enough we could walk back to Carnforth along the canal or leave the canal part way and return by bus. Next 2 days we caught the train from Carnforth to Grange over Sands. The first night we walked from the site to Warton Bay well worth it. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return.
