This is a real gem of a CL site.  The route to find the CL is relatively straightforward.  Once on site it is easy to get pitched up with the stoned roads and good quality hard standings.  The site itself is ideally located and apart from the train noise (which was not detrimental to the quality of the stay) it was a very quiet site.  Currently the road outside is closed apart from access to the caravan site which helps make it really peaceful. Facilities on the site are good.  Grey waste and Elsan points are clearly marked and in good order.  There is a toilet for use in the concrete outbuilding.  On the outbuilding is a large noticeboard with a range of information to help visitors get the most out of their visit. Opposite the CL pitches is a decent sized grass area where children are able to play.  This is encouraged - a lovely thought and a great family friendly feature. The owners are lovely people.  Not intrusive (we didn't see them until day 3 of the week stay) in the slightest, they are really friendly. We shall definitely return to this lovely CL on our next visit to the North East.
