Crakehall Watermill is a very peaceful and tranquil site on a slope beside a beck that feeds the mill. As others have said, levelling on the slope can be a challenge. As we are new to caravanning it took us a couple of attempts to find just the right spot, but it’s worth it. Pitches are allocated and Alison and Lionel are great hosts; very friendly and attentive. There are water points and electric hookups on two sides of the site, so easy to use. The surrounding area has lots of walks locally and the valley of Wensleydale through Leyburn up to Hawes is a beautiful part of North Yorkshire.
